Maybe not quite at DH level, but I've never seen a 33 year old 6-5 woman hit like that. To go from being a low/mid level men's player during prime years, take 5 years off, and then quickly become an elite female player who is good enough to be considered for the 2020 Olympics...that's not fair IMO. What was his level when he was a man? Like could he have played D1 men NCAA? What was HER* level when SHE* was a man... Tact.

I legitimately hope Tiffany puts up 7 pts/game for the next two years, goes to Tokyo, and the same three posters keep dragging this thread up once a week until 2020. "OMG did you see she had 30 points!?" Yeah, I remember when Fawcett scored 55. What of it? "How is it fair that she's 6'5!?" Can I introduce you to Gamova? Fawcett did not score 55 in the Brazilian Superliga. It's still not completely unheard of that a player scores 30 points in a match though.

We know how this works. If anyone dares to think it unfair that Tiffany is competing you poltically correct militants will do anything to make sure they don't make the mistake of sharing their opinion again. What are you so afraid of? Enlighten me?

Dominant in fact and why? She is taller and stronger than most players and why is that? Why do you guys ignore the obvious. She is a male genetically. Why is that taboo to just admit?

Are you implying that no female athlete can dominate the game unless they're a male genetically? How stupid. Plummer is taller and stronger than most players, too. Why is that?

That is just a fact. Tiffany genetically is a man, a very gifted man who plays exceptionally well.

Interview with Tiffany and some Brazilian players.
Some doctors says she does have a advantage while some say she does not.
Tiffany says she is not the same player now as she was when she was a man, she even said if she was stronger as before she would never be playing against women because she could hurt them, but now she can spike as hard as she can but she won`t hurt anyone.
Some players gave their opinion, Tandara said she admires Tiffany and her courage but it is up to the doctors/IOC/FIVB and whoever is in charge to decide if she has any advantages or not.
Angelica and Aliine ( Brasilia MB) said Tiffany is just a great player and she`s scoring a lot because she`s getting a lot of balls, other than that Tiffany is not all that as everyone is saying, nothing phenomenom about her and her spike is strong but is strong just as Tandara`s for example, she makes mistakes and tips the ball over and gets blocked over just like all the other women does.
Sheila Castro gave a interview saying she`s against Tiffany playing in the Women`s Superliga and while watching Tiffany playing she can see that Tiffany has the strength of a man. And especially because doctors have said even tough she changed hormones but her body was created as a man and that fact can`t be changed and that`s where Tiffany`s advantages comes from even tough she`s a woman now.
Something interesting come up, and it was said at this point a "limit" of trans players should be created in each team, because let`s say if there were a lot of trans players ready to play they certainly could end up taking the born women`s place, but each team would limit only 1 trans per team. Of course this would not be a problem now, but for the future we can expect more trans male and female in sports.
Ze Roberto said he will certainly consider Tiffany for the National Team this summer depending on her performance in the SuperLiga.
But seams like FIVB and IOC will have a meeting soon to discuss more about this while topic and from what I understand they could even revert the rule and don`t allow transgender players to compete. Tiffany said if that happens she will understand and be fine with it.
Let`s see what will happen but I think FIVB will try to stop Tiffany from competing in any FIVB event as it would create even more controversy.

[/quote] Putting one Transgender on a team is the worst idea. Right there they are admitting they have an advantage. "every team gets one libero and one Trans player. It would make a joke of the sport.
From watching video I do not believe Tiffany is at the level of the other players on the national team. Slow feet and does not get up very high. Reminds me of a 6'4 girl with a 10 inch vertical. Obviously Tiffany jumps higher that 10 inches.
If the FIVB does change the rule and does not let Tiffany play I hope all the people on here saying "It's the rules get over it" can accept the new rules. Even though everyone on here knows they will not and we all know they will start crying that the FIVB is homophobic, transphobic and who knows what else. I hope the rule is reversed for the preservation of women's sports.

Statement: The #1 female should be born a female.
Can anyone who disagrees respond respectfully to me and explain why they disagree? Because that's the crux of it I think. Not an issue till a Musersky, etc..

Not an issue till a Musersky, etc.. Or maybe, should not have been a male? There are 600 posts or so in this thread, a large proportion of which answer why many people, including the decision-makers who have established the current rules, don’t agree with your statement.

Wow, that last post crammed two fallacious arguments into one sentence. Impressive.
Argument from authority. Argument from authority (Latin: argumentum ad verecundiam), also called the appeal to authority, is a common form of argument which leads to a logical fallacy. The appeal to authority relies on an argument of the form: A is an authority on a particular topic.
In argumentation theory, an argumentum ad populum (Latin for "argument to the people") is a fallacious argument that concludes that a proposition must be true because many or most people believe it, often concisely encapsulated as: "If many believe so, it is so."

But thanks for copying and pasting “to” types of fallacious arguments from your Intro to Rhetoric course.
