They lost to a team that practices once a week 25-12. So based on 1 (umm, no, 2 0f the sets they beat up on LBCC) set of volleyball with a mixed bag roster vs a full roster (What does that have to do with anything, LBCC lost 25-12. What score would you give Pierce the nod? 25 -9? 25-3? Or no matter what, since LBCC have more players on their roster, you would give the nod to LBCC? that's how you make your judgement.... interesting... not saying Pierce won't be good but they are not as complete. Pins are just athletic but not polished, setter is big and "the best setter in the gym" (when none of the setting was that great), but the middle (Cole) is arguably the best. LBCC has solid middles, 2 polished Opps Pierce started their #2 opp and did just fine, so that is no real advantage, and several polished OHs Several? all you need is 3. So, splitting the squad is not having 1 good and one not so good, am I right? All that is is splitting up 4 players that are polished. More does not make better. SO, whys is LBCC way more complete? Pierce has 3 or 4 also, but they don't have enough players to run 2 squads, I see no big advantage to have several unless 2 or 3 get hurt. I would put my money on Polsihed athletes over just big athletes any day of the week. I would put my money on the team that won 25-12 myself, that hasn't started regular practices yet, but maybe I am old school. Am I missing something? BTW, WTH is polished? Clearly you have some bias to Pierce.... but I am going off of no bias I talked to several coaches who were there on Sat, they all agree that Pierce was the most dominant team there, but maybe they all had east coast Bias because Pierce is further east?
I am sure that it will all be settled over the coming months. you normally have more logical takes, but I found it very odd that you would say that LBCC "by Far" is the most complete team when they lost in a large way. Having 20 players over a team that has 12 might have some advantages, but it cannot be that big of an advantage if you lost 25-12 (obviously). I do think they will be a top 3 team though along with Pierce, Santa Monica and maybe OCC.

How many of these kids will end up playing DI? talent wise? I would think there were 1/2 dozen or so that were talented enough.

Ouch, you were a bit off base there guy. Good luck playing this season though!
