I think it's significant that Martin was hurt last year. Still think she has a high ceiling. I really think Nebraska wanted her and recruited her hard. Those high ceiling girls get the benefit of the doubt at Prep Volleyball. Those college coaches attach a good deal to size, explosive vertical and athleticism laterally. Can’t blame them if they show a work ethic and progress every year in bettering their volleyball skills. I have a hunch Minnesota might be Nebraska’s biggest nemesis in the Big Ten going forward. Wisconsin, PSU, Michigan, Ohio State and Illinois are programs moving forward who are showing signs of competing for regular NCAA tournament play and possible conference championships. I think the Huskers and Gophers are slightly ahead of the pack. Minnesota wants to peak in 2018 as the city of Minneapolis hosts the final four. The Big Ten is so good in volleyball.

Anyone else hearing transfer rumors re: McLean? That would leave only 4 Minnesota girls on the roster for next year. That has to be a new low; not happy about that. I also will miss her play. I really enjoyed watching her play at the end of the season. She did a good job for us. I hope its not a true rumor.

Definitely one of the more fiery and vocal ones, which is always fun to watch. But, I can understand if she (or someone else) would transfer for more consistent playing time. It's going to be a battle here at OH this fall, I think. Lots of good players on the bench.

Mckenna Wucherer, 6-1 OH from Milwaukee Sting 15 Gold. Class of 2022. What a terrific pickup for Cutch! Such tremendous potential and a Top 5 player indeed! I’m jealous because we were wanting her at Nebraska. Cutch has really picked up his recruiting game in the past year or so.

Have we run the nickname past Cutch to see if Cutch is OK with the nickname Cutch. I am not sure Cutch is going to embrace Cutch. Perhaps we could run "the Cutch" passed Cutch to see what Cutch thinks?

I get that some people like nicknames, but Cutch? I don’t think so.

Speaking of 2022, Minnesota needs to secure the bag on 6'7 MB Carter Booth. Her, Iman Ndiaye, Leilah Smith, and Aly Batenhorst should be top priorities right now. We could be looking at a a perennial national championship contender/favorite starting in 2020 if we can lock some of those players up in addition to who we already have on board.

There's a 6'7" 2022? What the heck? She could be 8'4" by then.

Do you think they're not doing that? Every top program in the country is recruiting those girls.
