Btw, SSS just won a B1G championship and she wasn't setting her NL teammates. There were those who said it couldn't bewondered if it could be done.
Edit for the benefit of the doubt.

That was my contention. Helped them anyway. And Daly.

Pittman is now hitting .405 for the season. That's impressive, but it's been such and up and down season for her offensively that that doesn't really tell the whole story, at all. It's been that way for a lot of the players. When someone struggles, someone else puts up big numbers. Samedy's the only one who has really been fairly consistent. Hits right around her % every match. Surprising she hasn't had more matches where she hit .600 or something like that.

The best team in the country...if they pass the ballNov 17, 2018 21:22:50 GMT -6 (R)uffda! said: Nov 17, 2018 21:09:05 GMT -6 mcmike said: The color commentator was pretty very knowledgeable ... Luke Maloney, [OSU's Ass't. Coach] Susan Halverson's husband. During a timeout at 10-6 in the fifth set vs OSU Luke Maloney shared his view of the Gopher's chances to win a national championship: "They need a steady receive...they've got to pass the ball; that's where they are most vulnerable..." "I do think they are better than Stanford or BYU ... but not if they don't pass the ball." His entire commentary is worth another listen... cue to 115'40" He was critical of Rollins, who surely had a tough night, but MN might have lost to Maryland the night before without Rollins. Luke did not pull any punches in his comments. Unlike Karch he didn't try to impress with his knowledge or sound harsh. It got tiring only re. the "biding their time" repetitiveness. He also had some prescient? comments re. the potential downside of Jeff Carlson's propensity to sub after a player makes a mistake.

Maybe Martin had trouble getting a hat to fit over all her hair, or she just doesn't like hats, lol

She also seems to elevate her game at the end of sets. Her K/HE ratio is 5.07 on the season but rises to 5.88 when the Gophers have 20+ points and 6.0 when the opponent has 20+. Samedy is the only other Gopher who raises her game late with 3.66/3.69/6.0 She also leads the team with 29 blocks when the Gophers are at 20+ and 8 when the opponent has 20+. By comparison Morgan has 17 and 6.

Just curious. Where did you manage to put those numbers together?
I'm not surprised about Samedy. She seems to start very slowly -- and is most deadly when the team is ahead -- or in a tight match?

I was curious about how Samedy fared in the clutch, so went back through the match play-by-play recaps. Samedy has 107 K / 31 HE when the Gophers are tied or behind. So she is actually a little more error prone when behind/tied. 3.45 K/HE vs. 3.66 overall. With the Gophers at 20+ Samedy has 59/16 3.69 and with the opponent at 20+ she is 30/5 6.0.

As bad as this sounds, I would not be upset with a loss to PSU this Wednesday as it likely means getting the #4 seed and getting on BYU's side of the bracket instead of Stanford.
