Why do you post on the Texas threads? Is it just to try and irritate Longhorn fans? Can the first several pages of the 2018 thread just be positive for us? ...............when you make a helpful post in a TEXAS thread ![](https://media.giphy.com/media/3oEjI1erPMTMBFmNHi/giphy.gif) Oh, yeah, you are all about being "helpful" and "constructive" when it comes to Texas. Spreading transfer rumors on several posts when the topic had nothing to do with that subject. John Cook had Justine last season and the best passing team in the country and Nebraska still couldn't get it done against Texas; Coach Elliott schooled him again just like he has the majority of the last 10 seasons. Whatever strategy Coach Elliott has used to build his program, it has yielded more dividends than Coach Cook's strategy. I believe Texas and Nebraska have had the same number of national championships the last decade. Texas has played for three more national titles and advanced to five more Final Fours than Nebraska in the last decade, as well.

I'm just simply saying that J. Elliott (who has had countless better recruits then NEB, since you bring them up) would win WAY more, if he had some better back court. Go ask KARCH what his opinion of J. Elliott!! I'm not the only one who thinks Texas could do better to serve his team goals. Since you did bring up Nebraska. Cook had a similar issue in the early 2010s. And he changed the way he recruited and it helped his program. The Big 12 doesn't expose much in what your team needs to do to compete on the big stage. J. Elliott could do better in how he recruits as well. He needs elite passers! Jeez, you guys are sooooooooooooo sensitive. my goodness!

I don't give a f*ck what Karch thinks; he's not the one interjecting himself continuously in this thread -- you are. Don't post on here if you don't want a reply from me. You know exactly why I am comparing Elliott and Cook; Cook coaches the team you support. The team with the great passers, and great six-rotation pin hitters. A lot of good it's done him the last 10 seasons as his track record can't compare to Coach Elliott's, and you know it; you just can't bring yourself to acknowledge it out loud. Being in the Big 12 is out of our control. Bring it up as much as you want. Nothing we can do to change that. We play the conference schedule that's given to us.

I think it's funny too how much time you spend on Texas threads and trying to give Coach Elliott advice on how to run his program instead of spending your energy positively on Nebraska's upcoming Final Four match(es). If it wasn't so funny, it would be sad and pathetic.

Any ideas as to who will take over Nwanebu's role as RS? Likely Yazzie. Yazzie was fantastic in the Sweet 16 but pretty underwhelming on the right in the first part of the year. She's a gamer, no doubt, but she'll need to put in a lot of work to mix up her shots going into next season. More importantly, she'll need to get more reps with Shook to improve their connection on the right. They never found a good rhythm from what I saw. If not Yazzie, I would love to see Butler on the right. She'd be a shut down blocker and Brionne can absolutely murder the ball.

Any ideas as to who will take over Nwanebu's role as RS? I'd be curious to see how Sun would do on the right as a passing Opposite, and putting Yazzie on the left in a 3 rotation Bailey Webster type roll.

While not a terrible idea, I would assume that Yazzie is the better blocker so will likely play opposite. Shook was finally starting to set Ebony better towards the end of the season so hopefully Yazzie will be able to develop a nice connection as well. Early in the season she could rarely get a good set to get in any rhythm.

I agree; she is terminal. I'm pulling for Yazzie though. I'd like to see hitters try against Butler as MB.

Note to UT-austin fans: bball & sportybucky are TROLLS, pure + simple. They, along w/ certain UW("dawg") fanatics see no problem in having a quite/ most unhealthy absence of limits or boundaries re: other fans' teams. Other snarks; such as shhhhh; are 'roving ambassadors' of snark. Mind you, I Am Not a horns-fan; nor am I a B1G-aficionado. I, on the other hand, can appreciate the UT fanatics WAY MORE than those disgusting emissaries of negativity/ wannabe "experts" (of trolling) from Both Uw's plus NEB. Shame on 'em

I came back from being oversees to find out my Lady Longhorns fell short to Stanford. I do have to agree on some of you, some of the matches I did see Texas kind've lacked the passion this season. We have the talent, we have the physical presence and the ability to beat anyone in the country but we lacked passion. Maybe the chemistry between our hitters and Shook will be much improved next season, it has to!. I'm not to worried, we'll just have to see how things pan out next season! HOOK EM!

If J. Elliott starts to recruit STELLAR back court kids, he would get his championships! I so wish Jerritt would do that!!! I have not been a fan of some of your posts about Texas but I agree with you 100% on this post.

There's a huge difference between recruiting a player, and signing them. I doubt anyone on this board knows all the players who the Texas coaching staff recruits and offers.
There's that broken record on this board by a few select posters who claim Texas doesn't recruit 6-rotation pin hitters. Well, our staff did recruit Haley Hodson. I know that for a fact because I saw her in person attending the 2012 regional in Austin. So, there was enough interest that she paid her own way to visit Texas unofficially. But, as many of us knew, Stanford was always her first choice. Just because you express interest in a player, that doesn't mean said player has to reciprocate that interest; sometimes, they just like other schools better. Lots of schools recruited Hodson. Only one school ended up signing her.
I would love to know about all the players our coaching staff recruits and offers; but, we never will.

I mean the #1 recruit in the country isn't exactly stretching your neck out. Take a chance on somebody with backrow prowess. Justine Wong Orantes had 1 scholarship offer coming out of high school and went on to become an amazing college libero. Now I'm going to be told I'm a Nebraska troll lol but it's just a thought.
