Did Coach Tamas get a Christmas break commit? I thought the NCAA had a rule about doing this. Which is why I thought coaches typically used a code word like “bingo” or something.

GIF's of various characters doing the Dab is Coach Tamas's equivalent to posting "bingo".

Nor can they sub-tweet - indirectly tweeting something about someone without mentioning their name, but in such a way that it's clear who the person tweeting is referring to. So they can't use a nickname, or say something else that makes it clear who it is. "We have a commmit" could be anyone, so it's allowed.

Coach Tamas is killing it on the recruiting trail. I think our run in the tourney will only help our long term recruiting options. Not too mention he probably has a line on all the recruits Nebraska was looking at.

So he's safe unless the recruit is an Elf, from the North Pole, associated with Santa or Claus in anyway either by name or location or happens to be named Nicole. I'm pretty sure Coach Tamas understands the rules of social media.

You can't subtweet but you can use a play on words that alludes to the specific player. Coaches in other sports do that all the time.

But what constitutes a sub-tweet is subjective, so a lot of coaches choose not to even go there.

Trying to figure out who the commit is. Nothing so far on social media. I have one idea - a noncommitted prep player they follow on IG. But not sure yet.

Has anyone ever been disciplined for having given hints about a committment in a tweet? Actually, I would prefer that the coach let the player announce her commitment. It is her time in the spotlight.
