According to TripleCrown, all of the 16s and 18s power pool matches will be streamed on the watch ESPN app. Nice! The watch ESPN app only shows the Championship Games for the 14s, 16s and 18s being streamed.

The way Midwest vb is currently looking I'd say anything is possible...who knows what will happen with a JVA/Sports performance hosted presidents day tournament when the owner is no longer able to coach in jva events. Hopefully vb as a whole will be more United soon Rick Butler's status is going to have no impact on the Midwest clubs staying away from qualifiers. This isn't a qualifier though. It's just a collection of the best teams.

Oh I totally agree. There are deep issues with USAV especially within the GL Region. I guess I assumed you were responding to my question of whether more Midwest teams will join the TripleCrown and make it even more competitive.

I wish you hadn't pointed that out. I don't want to earn my first purple card. I think one of us is colorblind.. I've only ever received yellows or reds.. arizona region implemented purple cards this season - for unruly parents. I don’t think any have been issued, yet.

Very interesting! In the Midwest the officials just climb off the stand to yell at the parent and they are embarrassed enough to shut up.

What’s the penalty for a purple card?

Unfortunately, I'm afraid that any gain of midwest clubs will be offset by losses of So Cal clubs. I hope I'm wrong.

1) A brief glance at the 18 power pools shows Muncie's 16s are the work team for Muncie's 18s first match and Legacy's 16s are the work team for Legacy's 18s first match. Doesn't mean that much, but possibly a favorable line call here or there 2) The History page of their website says it is moving to Kansas City, Missouri next year.. Do we think all the big California/Texas teams still come and will we see more big name Midwest teams??? The way Midwest vb is currently looking I'd say anything is possible...who knows what will happen with a JVA/Sports performance hosted presidents day tournament when the owner is no longer able to coach in jva events. Hopefully vb as a whole will be more United soon Doubtful.

To clarify I don't think this fix happens overnight and not starting with clubs going back to usav. It would start with something like clubs going to the tournament this weekend instead of Presidents' Day. The more clubs see good competition they don't normally see the more likely we see usav and jva clubs forming relationships. Still a long shot to completely mend that relationship with GL region clubs since the region is so piss poor and running anything, but having the best midwestern teams play the other great teams would be great by itself

It would be great to see everybody together, but I'm not holding my breath.

Wow - looking at AES and gold pool B in Atlanta was a battle. All three matches between TAV, A5-1s, and Rockwood Thunder went three sets and TAV wins the pool and a bid in a 25-23 one-set playoff.
