Yeah like I said, she is a sort of celebrity in China, she goes on TV variety shows and sings. Probably not at the same level of fame in China as Lang Ping, but she is well-known among many Chinese. And since many Chinese regard her as a beauty as well, I guess that certainly doesn't hurt her popularity.  Mind you, she is appearing in public events for a good reason, to promote her charity, the Hui Ruoqi Women's Volleyball Development Fund, which distributes money to look after injured or retired Chinese volleyball players, coaches and support staff. So she is doing it for a good cause.
