I am not sure why kale suddenly got so popular a while back, but I don't think it deserved the (inevitable) huge backlash. I think it's better than a lot of leafy vegetables (though not as good as spinach).

What is 传统豆腐脑?
The menu calls it: Traditional Tofu “Now”
(Their quote marks)
Is it soup? There is a picture of soup nearby.

Brought several friends from the states to Pizza Hut here, and they were floored by it. Escargot being one of them, no salad bar and general service was pretty darn good. I only remember the last Pizza Hut I went to in the states was dark, dirty and the pizza dough was very greasy. Only issue I have with the Pizza Hut here (and may be the same in the US) is that it seems the pizza is already pre-made and they just heat it up. At least with Pizza Marzano we can see them toss the dough.
Salt...the ultimate evil! Yet, I love adding garlic salt to my pizza except for maybe pepperoni pizza. Already have enough salt on there. Maybe I should look for some garlic powder and just add that to the pepperoni pizza. Damn...really getting hungry for pizza now and we're fast approaching dinner time.

传统豆腐脑?
Almost looks like 豆花, which is a classic Taiwanese dessert and I love it! Specially if you have peanuts, 绿豆, 红豆 all together in the sugar water and some shredded ice on top....
I want some 豆花 now.
But this 传统豆腐脑 is probably a salty dish. We order something similar to this that has small clams inside, all steamed with a soy sauce base sauce on top.

You soak the soy beans, then you liquefy the mixture, you drain it to get the soy milk. You then solidify it by mixing it with gypsum. AS it solidifies you put it in a mold and you try to squeeze as much liquid out as possible. The tofu (brain) is the stuff that hasn't been squeezed but does have the gypsum in it. It is more pliable than the finished tofu.

I'm going with pork chops, mashed potatoes, green beans, and some wine. Apple pie for dessert.
Or a bologna sandwich with a Coke. Can't make up my mind.

So your last meal. What would it be? I guess that depends on when it happens. Hopefully something very easy to chew.

Is China going to buy up the US stock of pork? A lot were culled in China due to the African swine flu. They played the epidemic down for so long now the gov't could no longer hide the severity after releasing some from their emergency stockpile of pork.

The Chinese government has an emergency stockpile of pork?

The Chinese government has an emergency stockpile of pork? Surprising, isn't it? I think they were to release 10,000 tons from their frozen reserve. Just read online they have 990,000 tons of frozen pork in reserve.

I would bet you that the Mormons have a pork warehouse somewhere.
