What are the chances the refs will call a double on either team? Neither setter will get called for a double that’s for sure. But don’t worry, the R2 is making up for it by trying to set an NCAA record for most net violations called in one match. I agree, this R2 is really trying to take the game into his own hands.

I understand that Springfields main libero moved to OH this year, but how do they not have a better option than this headband He’s an all American too. How’s that happen??

If there was ever a year for someone to beat Springfield, it’s be this year! I’ve said all year this is the worst Springfield team all decade and turns out they were the only team all decade to lose in a semifinal. They simply didn’t have a bench to replace their big hitters from last year. They had a (non-Puerto Rican) freshman, a setter, and a libero as their 3 pin hitters.
New Paltz has the size, the physicality, and the experience to knock them off. They played great in sets 3 and 4 and deserved the win. A lot of firsts and ‘first time in a long time’ tonight.

This might be the wildest year for d3 men’s volleyball. Springfield is exposed for what they were, overrated. Stevens tech has been on the downward spiral ever since they switched off Patterson, and now things are gonna be really interesting next year with all the blue bloods taking steps backward and new teams on the rise

How could this be? I though Charlie Sullivan was Coach of the Year for his spectacular season, his 4 All Americans were deserving AND they had the VERY BEST ASSISTANT in the country?
Looks like Matt Grace should be NPOY...

The craziest thing to me is how Springfield missed 19 serves in 4 sets and New Paltz missed 23. Only 4 aces between the two teams. What is volleyball anymore

Still waiting for the Charlie Sullivan fake timeout/argue with refs. It'll happen 100% Just like you’re still waiting on a Carthage championship I bet Well if you had read my previous post you'd understand I have already stated that... Obvious springfield fan.

As I had predicted.
NP beats springfield and ucsc had the strength to dominate Stevens.
Now I'm predicting a 4 game match with new paltz being victorious.
Ucsc doesn't have good enough serving or serve recoeve to beat NP and since they typically rely on cassio it will be their ultimate downfall.
