Golden State has been probably the most talented team since the Lakers in the 80's. If they lose this year, 2 championships in 4 years will be underachieving considering their talent. They not only have had great starters but a great bench as well. This is the first season that their bench is a little thin, a result of acquiring Durant. They were down 15 in the first quarter last night, and would have lost that game if Paul was playing. Again Cleveland was the better team in 15. they lost the finals 4-2 without Kyrie and Love.

Well then Cleveland won two in a row with Draymond in the starting lineup, the second in Oakland. How is that luck? They won three in a row on basketballs biggest stage against the team with the best regular season record ever. You don't get lucky three straight games. If either of these teams could be considered lucky, it would be GS the first year they won. They got to play LeBron and a bunch of scrubs. (The only worse team to get to the Finals was LeBron's Cavs in 2007.). And it still took six games. When full strength the following year, Cavs won. Those same teams met three years in a row and the combined record is 11-6. The one the Cleveland won was as close as could be, 4-3. Golden State also had the best record in the regular season all three years. I think it's clear that Cleveland was somewhat lucky to have won one of those years. I'm not arguing that Cleveland has been the better team the last three years. I just hate hearing they got lucky because Draymond was out for one game. Those same people fail to make the same comment regarding Irving and Love being out the year before giving the Warriors a much easier chance to win.

Warriors won by 29 with a crazy second half. I don't think you can say with CP3 it's an instant win.

Enh, Curry was playing on one leg in the 2016 finals, something that doesn't get mentioned a ton. Not an excuse - injuries happen, nothing you can do about it but play the hand your'e dealt. But when Steph Curry can't get a shot off when defended by the likes of Kevin Love (like in game 7 that year), you've got a problem. The one year both teams were as close to full strength and as healthy as can be at that point in the season was 2017, and that was a beat-down by the W's. Of course, the addition of Durent that season was obviously a major factor. I do not compare 2017 the same way as 2015-16 as the Warriors adding Durant changes the narrative.

It is just my opinion. Chris Paul can control the tempo and clock in a game like few other players, I believe he would have managed the game much better.

Cav's in tough tonight. Even with Lebron it is hard to see them winning. Horford is due for a good game.

JR Trash, his game has falling off a cliff. He needs to hit a few 3's early tonight. Will be interesting to see if Bron gives him the ball.

This whole "luck" conversation started with Lights talking about the W's luck. I said the Cavs have had their share of luck too. Guess what? Luck is always going to be a part of this unless one team is head and shoulders above the rest of the league.
I happen to think that was the case in 2016. Cavs don't win without the right breaks and they got a huge one when, down 1-3, Green gets suspended. And they got another one with Curry's injury.
Cavs are also very fortunate that Irving is gone this post-season.

That's a normal thing to get suspended for; 2) there were two more games he did play in that they lost. If he was suspended without good reason for game seven and the home team had won every game and Cavs go to Oakland and win with Green out, sure chalk that up to some luck. But not game five after kicking a guy.

Lebron James is unbelievable. Nobody has taken a worse team to the finals, other than James in 07 with Cleveland. Mike never did that.

I got really turned off by The Decision, and never gave man a chance while he was with the Heat. I gave him points for coming home to Cleveland, and realized just how much he was carrying the Cavs the last few years. But this, this was epic. The Celtics had their boots on the Cavs behind and lebron carries them to the finals. Incredible effort.
Should be an interesting finals, regardless of who comes out of the West.
