Middle Blocker Yuan Xinyue, who did not leave for the 2018 World Military Volleyball Championship due to a visa issue is back on China's roster. That might be a blessing in disguise for China. I'm sorry if I offend any fans of the military game, but honestly, who really cares about that ( except I suppose for the Chinese PLA (People's Liberation Army) brass, they are the only ones that would care- that would explain why Yuan was sent. That is not what Lang Ping wants, but what the PLA wants. Yuan plays for the army team, so technically she is part of the PLA, which means she has to follow orders from her superiors to play in the military game whether she likes it or not). But now that the visa thing has allowed her to return to the VNL, this should improve blocking for her team. Although China is still missing Zhang Changning and Zeng Chunlei, so I don't see China playing all that well in this leg. Or maybe I will be wrong? We'll see.

That competition was easy enough for them to win without Yuan anyway. I think I seen that Wang Yunlu got MVP, which is saying a lot considering her poor performance in the Chinese League this season as well as at last year's Grand prix. I think China will do ok. With Yuan Xinyue returning, it'll only help a little. Zhang and Zeng are two of China's key players that provides stability. Zhu can only provide so much offense, the other outside hitter and opposite are going to have to help her out since Lang Ping is playing around with different lineups.

I think we'll see Larson and Bartsch tomorrow, with Akinradewo/Adams, and Lloyd/Murphy.
