How about the opposites that were dismissed from the program? Karch was willing to cut Fawcett from the program entirely, but two years later, is still apparently looking for opposite options? Why was she not allowed to stay and compete if Karsta was allowed to quit and return? Hell, they even rolled out the red carpet with a special press release for her. Hooker was abused mentally and physically by her ex-husband, and the staff kicks her off the team. Six years later, a survivor of domestic abuse isn't even granted an invite to TRAIN? And how would Larson/team leadership have been involved when she rejoined the program at the beginning of May -- the same time the rest of the pros joined the group for VNL practices? It's the difference of leaving on good terms or bad terms. Fawcett left on bad terms? And Hooker isn't granted any humanity after realizing that she was being abused? Okay.

It's the difference of leaving on good terms or bad terms. Karsta did not leave on bad terms. Correct, that's why she's back and others are not.

Hooker not being on the team has nothing to do with spousal abuse, nor should it factor into whether or not she deserves another chance.

Still, USA will never win Olympic GOLD, if their best players are not on the team. Simple as that.

We didn't win gold.

We didn't win gold. He didn't say the US won gold, he said that we will never win without the best players. Now, after the 2012 Summer Games everyone believed that the U.S. could win with that line-up in 2016 with a little tweak in the middle with Akinraddewo and Harmotto. But Karch left out Tom, Bown retired, and didn't even bother with Hooker. So we were left with mediocre pin-hitters, and the bulk was left for the middles especially (Akinradewo) to carry.

Seriously guys, give Hooker a rest. We are getting back Lowe, isn't that something to cheer about? Instead, some of you are still on the Hooker issue?! Hooker ain't coming back, deal with it.

So maybe it's time to get over it? Not while the staff is still accepting opposites who’ve quit the program back into the gym while permanently cutting others for no apparent reason and blackballing clearly rehabilitated domestic abuse survivors.

Not while the staff is still accepting opposites who’ve quit the program back into the gym while permanently cutting others for no apparent reason and blackballing clearly rehabilitated domestic abuse survivors. Well, that's an interesting spin on things. I think a lot of people on this board are stuck in 2010... wake up call it's 2018. I did not follow the Brazilian league this year, but everything I read stated that Destinee Hooker had a very average year. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. Also, I think people slandering the National Team Staff with undertones that they don't support rehabilitated domestic abuse survivors should be worthy of having an Administrator lock the thread. That kind of undertone is unacceptable and this is coming from someone who is a tremendous advocate of feminism and women empowerment. I'm glad, as I'm sure others are that she is no longer in that awful situation. However, everything I had read indicated that she broke team rules and did not exhibit team centric behavior. Could the aforementioned be CORRELATED to her behavior at work? Absolutely, but to pin it on that is undeserving.
