That said there are two huge issues and a small one that are killing the coverage. The first is match choice.
Other than putting Phil/April/Chase on the stream, there just isn't much thought going into which matches are shown and that often results in matches no one is interested in. For example, yesterday Karissa Cook/Katie Spieler v KVZ/Ali McColloh was shown. Who was that meant to appeal to? I am a fan of both Ali and KVZ, but it was as unathletic and inconsequential a match as you could find on the AVP. Educated fans know that these players will not factor into the outcome of the event. None of these players has abnormal charisma ala Gabby Reece, EY, etc. and the only possible selling point, KVZ’s backstory fighting her way up from Florida amateur tours to winning an AVP despite being a dwarf and not having much athletic ability, was not told or at least not emphasized – or maybe it was I couldn’t sit through the whole thing. To uneducated fans possibly tuning in initially what would you see in that match that would make you watch again? Or to put it differently if you came across that and the livestream of the Pottstown women’s final, could an undeducated fan tell the difference? Too many of these matches, of the Janelle Allen/Schuh/Sheila Shaw type matches are shown while much more compelling men’s scrubs are ignored. (Low level men’s play is just more exciting)

The last issue is Kelli Tennat. She is just awful. Donnyw to answer your point, no I wont stop watching, but I watch less now. When she is on, I either mute or get annoyed and unless its a match I am excited to see, I skip it. Ill watch her call Eric/Piotr versus Reid/Jeremy, but if April/Caitlin v Betsi/Emily were not the final last week I would have skipped it and missed a great match, solely on the basis of Kelli. That can't be a positive.
Cam, "it looks like Casey is dropping his elbow." Kelli: "Thats so silly, Casey and Stafford are silly." Kelli seems to think she is hosting a TMZ knockoff called the Kelli Tennant show.
I had a history professor who said if you saw WW2 from space you would conclude it was a war between Russia and Germany (because of the comparative number of men involved in that part of it) and I thought of that as I was writing this. If you didn't have the video, but could only hear Kelli talking, you would come to the conclusion that the show was about her and one of her main interests was BVB and that she didn't know much about it.
I was watching @volleyjim livestream the qualis yesterday and I enjoyed listening to him, especially when he accidentally eviscerated David Lee, but technically, since he is not an announcer, he was worse than Kelli. He was not smooth and, relative to pro broadcasters, somewhat uninformed (sorry Jim but you didn't know David Lee) and yet I listened to him for maybe 90 minutes or however long the streams were and didn't mute him. Why? Because he had real enthusiasm for what he was seeing. I got the sense that if he weren't streaming he would still be watching and it was nice to share a passion for the game. Has anyone ever thought, "Wow Kelli is so passionate about the game?" No. Has anyone ever thought "Wow Kelli is so knowledgeable about the game?" No. Has anyone ever thought, "Wow she has a great personality, I could listen to her read the phone book?" No. So why is she on the stream?

He wants to incorporate all players into the mix. After this three year deal with Prime, Phil is gone, Nick is gone, April will be 39..Most likely she is gone...Time to start showing some new faces in the beach world. Yes, there will still be Sara, Summer, Alix, Sponcil (If p1440 doesn’t sign her..just saying)...No clue what they will do on the men’s side. Sun is doing what he said he was gonna do. Trying to get fans familiar with all players...

That said it probably be best to treat these events with a traditional sports coverage mindset. As guest2 and others point out, if you don't know anything about beach volleyball or the players, watching Amazon's streams isn't really going to help you learn about them. And since that seemed to be the whole point in the first place, seems counter-intuitive. Obviously for whatever reason Amazon thinks this is the best way to provide coverage. This may come as a shock to Amazon executives, but people actually do watch beach volleyball cause they like the sport.

I have never met Sun personally but from what others on this board say he is a very hands on owner..comes to the events...mingles with the fans...Maybe a few knowledgeable BVB fans writing in to AVP giving suggestions would be beneficial...I am just a big believer that Sun is not in this for the long haul and that depending how the Olympics 2020 go for the USA, we may be seeing the end of a Donald Sun owned AVP. He’s very lucky he put that contract into place when he did..

I am also not sure why you think DOnald Sun, a man who has basically funded the AVP at his expense, and invests all of his time at his events, isn't in it for the long haul. That doesn't make any sense.

If so there may be some wiggle room since any pro contract that bound her to the AVP would probably be illegal under NCAA guidelines. Not sure how the AVP works with amateur athletes

Not sure how the AVP works with amateur athletes She has to sign the contract to play in the main draw, money or no money. It still wouldn't escape the fact that if the p1440 folded like Walsh's idea with the WSOBV last year, SPoncil wouldn't basicallty have however many more years of not being able to play the AVP (that's assuming the contract doesn't say a breach of contract = lifetime ban). It would just be f'n stupid for anyone that young to risk their career like that. AVP has the stupid contract the p1440 doesn't. AVP also has the longevity.

Signing a pro contract, whether she turns down money or no, would violate NCAA rules as I understand them. May be a different version for amateurs but I doubt she can sign the regular one. In unrelated news, 3 is more skyballs than Kelli has ever seen in a match. Also she thought Kelly Reeves was the first to say "The Wimbledon of beach volleyball" about Manhattan Beach

Amateur athletes can sign professional contracts as long as they do not accept monetary value. You see it in golf frequently. Many times the contract is stated with them forfeiting any winnings. I would assume (and hope) Sun is protecting his product by at least binding any individual that wants to play in his business to their contractual standards.

It says in NCAA bylaws they cannot sign any professional contract or enter into an agreement. I would think either the AVP is re-written specifically for them that would satify their amateur status or yes they just would not sign a contract.

Camaryn (or however she spells it) just did a courtside report that made little to no sense, contained zero insight or knowledge of what she's watching outside of confirming there's wind.

THEY ARE SHOWING STADIUM ACTION EARLY FIRST SET WHEN THERE'S A THIRD SET GOING ON RIGHT NOW. And to make it more absurd, instead of going back to outer court during break, they are talking to boring Mark S during timeout. It's unfathomably bad.
