@allamerican11 , curious about your thoughts on Lyndie Haddock Eppich. Did she make those around her better, or did those around her make her seem better? I personally feel she made them better. I agree. Two huge reasons: 1) she was able to win matches without a consistent right-side attack, and 2) she was able to absorb the loss of Miller and still make the Final Four. Watching BYU, it always felt like LHE was in control and was making things happen. Just my opinion.

Sarcasm or are you smoking crack? If we get Bruna cleared watch out! Not sarcasm. Poulter hasn’t shown an ability to win when she shouldn’t. She came out on the right side of a couple close matches last December, but until there’s an indication that she can do that again, I’m not putting the Illini anywhere near the top ten. At some point, she’s going to have to be more than “an elite physical specimen” or “an incredibly athletic setter.” She needs to be a winner. good call

Poulter needed to earn it, and she did... by doing everything I said she needed to do. For whatever reason, she was able to connect much better with Tamas than with Hambly to elevate her own level of play and the level of her team. She was faced with a big test that she did not pass, however: losing to Nebraska after going up 2-0.

You dislike everything about USC, bigfan, so no surprise you think they're overrated. . Stanford is the team to beat, and if they stay healthy they'll take the title again. USC has strong serving, good setting, and with Botkin and Lanier healthy again, good things will happen, pending on their Libero. Oregon should be strong as well, but something seems to get to them every year. UCLA good, but not great. Stanford fist, SC second in the Pac 12.

I think it was the young ladies around her that worked hard over the summer that got them to the next level. Poulter had always been a stud. Quade who wasnt even an HM turned a corner and was an first teamer. I dont think Poulter was the issue it was more about the hitters and backrow

Poulter was not always a “stud.” This is now the second time in the last few months that Illinois fans have randomly revived this thread from August in order to talk about Poulter. Move on, y’all.

Kentucky is way, way better than 7th. Edmond, Skinner, and Lilley are the best OH/S trio in the country, and Curry is going to surprise people. Skinner didn’t play almost the entire season. Stanford had a first team setter, and a first team OH along with an honorable mention.... averages higher than Kentucky. Edmond didn’t do as well this season although she is still very good. I am a Kentucky fan but this post is just simply wrong.
