Interesting how little the loss of Lexi Sun has done to people's opinion of Texas. They also lost their best pin hitter and a 4 year starting libero to graduation. UT definitely has some big question marks entering this season. The question mark about the pin hitter is not that serious. Yazzie should be just fine.

UT definitely has some big question marks entering this season. The Texas cupboard is never bare. Hell, the Texas cupboard is always well-stocked. They aren't going to be out of the Top Ten in the foreseeable future, not without some real effort/sabotage.

Regarding voters, we should've sent a special invite to Brian Gimmillaro.

Should be a fun first two weekends for FSU. They play three top 25 teams. Go Noles.

The committee has integrity, wait and see before Hawaii is ranked.

The selection of teams will be easier moving forward. The challenge was establishing a good baseline for the poll. I think we did a good job with the preseason poll and I believe our poll will be the best Top 25 poll out there.

Fairest considering all preseason parameters, or closest to this year-end results?

Fairest considering all preseason parameters, or closest to this year-end results? Good point. I believe it will be the fairest poll with selections based on data analysis rather than connections to individual programs. It’ll be far less political than the coaches poll.

What VolleyTalk has going for it is that there are some devout folks who, despite homerish tendencies, do spend a lot of time following the women's college game. But polls are like butt-holes: Everyone's got one. I know it's just getting off the ground, but I'd like to suggest we maximize transparency and accountability from the get-go and post the submission and compilation procedures, full voting lists, and any other info deemed pertinent by the poll creators.

I had my program Michigan at 16 and it ended up 20th after tabulating. How did other voters do in assessing their own programs?
