If Devo can put on some vertical, he could be a threat. Until then, his future is on the sand Pls. He's 6'7. A sand player at that height, not a middle, mind you, is already a threat. Kong block or NOT. haha What I'm saying is, he's gotta jump higher to be dominant indoors

Whomever created that video put some serious time and effort into taping and editing...there must be some similarly "impressive" video from club

I believe I saw Devon play at JOs. Was he the skinny outside that kept getting subbed out for horrible passing?

No, Devon Johnson, son of Cort, was the player who single handedly took down Ryan Wilcox and almost carried his team to a gold medal until the refs intervened and gave 949 the free win. His talented is unparalleled by any athlete at a college, or even professional level.

Yeah that ds's parents made large contributions to the club. He was only going to play in HS and not in college; the coaches were "sympathetic." I'm thinking boosters can be influential when/if they want to be. '-)
Nice try with the all around skills on the beach too however. Waikiki is famous for its beaches. Lots of people play at Ft. DeRussey military site, just home to the recent King of the Beach.

They have both starting middles and their top backup from last year all returning, they are fine. Can’t blame the coaches if one backup middle decided to quit school while the other quit volleyball altogether. I'll be the first to admit it (sorry my friend Tani), if in facts these are more or less what we're expecting; my doubts are withering away, my respect for Wade is bubbling, someone, anyone, correct me if I'm incorrect here. Setter: J. Worsley, AVCA All American / J. Ashment, 6'5 SR, <3's HI since the 8th grade (w Molten VBC) Libero: G. Worsley, BWC All Frosh team, leading libero Left Hitters: F. Humler / B. Rosenmeier, Sr., Exp'd USAV rep, 3-year starter / D. Johnson, Blue-chipper / C. Cowell, AVP beach professional Right Hitters: SVT, 2-time AVCA All American / R. Parapunov +Braddah Liva, frm. USN&WR's #1 Hawaiian public HS Middle Blockers: P. Gasman, AVCA All American / D. Solbrig, Sr., hit @.476 kill% / J. Meyer, Redshirt / J. Anastassiades, Volleyball Magazine Fab-50 (as the rest of this roster^ is/was). Hmmmm rose colored glasses?
Middle Blocker crop...thin and getting thinner J. Meyer...MIA D. Johnson...blue-chipper...that's a stretttttch

If Devo can put on some vertical, he could be a threat. Until then, his future is on the sand he's better suited for the sand. he's so sexy it's almost a shame he ever has a shirt on. put him in a swimsuit and the future of men's volleyball will be secure for decades

The UH athletics haven't yet posted their new roster, I've checked other Big West and MPSF schools and they've posted theirs already. This is Hawaii's one sport that currently fields a national championship caliber team and we can't timely post a roster? Geez

Geez Some BW teams have posted their rosters (UC Irvine, UCSD, and Long Beach St.), but others haven't (Hawaii, CSUN and UC Santa Barbara)...patience...soon!

Geez The men's roster is never updated this early...you'd be lucky if it's updated a month before season starts...the season is over 3 months away, their roster is probably not finalized yet Same for the Wahine it wouldn't be posted three/four months before the season starts, it's like saying you're wanting the Wahine roster to be finalized and posted before summer even starts

I'm certain that all sporting rosters have some degree of fluidity and are subject to change at any time, even during the course of the season. I also see that our baseball and basketball rosters are already posted, these seasons don't begin for another 2-3 months, baseball (roster posted in August) doesn't start until Spring. So where's the consistency? The timing of the Wahine roster (posting) was unique because we basically had no new adds to the roster(except for Tita) before Gaskin and Liva were signed prior to the start of this season. This is not the case with the Men's team, just saying.
