Do not forget about Riley Wagoner and her back row skills. She was looked at by some of the bigger schools in her area as a libero/back row player. Coukd have gone to a bigger school and be a libero but chose UH because Robyn will give her a chance to compete at OH. She could, at times, sub in for those who cannot pass and at the same time give UH an option to hit the pipe....ala Brooke Van Sickle at Oregon. Robyn , in my opinion should find six rotation players, can you imagine all playerrs on the court playing six rotations? ( needle in a hay stack)

Back to sanity/volleyball shall we? (Sorry x2, Yvonne). I was just going over some reruns of matches from recent Semis and Finals (used to do so for a living). Although a 5-1 is WAY preferred in most high-level, top-notch programs, Robyn has pretty successfully utilized a 6-2 recently. I could see a modified version of that being utilized this coming season, w/ Bailey Choy being subbed out for two-three rotations (don't know her serving proficiency). Stanford has done this with Audriana Fitzmorris before: won the 2016 championship doing so, with a modified version of a 5-1 (after switching from a traditional 6-2). Iosia should keep hitting! Choy led the PAC 12 with .38 aces/set last year, so she’s definitely a great server

Something residual about Jim Moore's "resignation"/ Ulmer.

Potential transfer at libero? Definitely thinking a walk on. Can't see the coaching staff giving a second scholarship to a libero unless its a one and done senior.

One thing is for sure, our fans will all need a game program/team roster when the season starts on Aug 30. Aside from Noreen, no other regular starters return. Does anyone recall the last time we lost this many starters all at once?

Hanawahine was convincing in the Texas exhibition. Our new outsides will have floor game too (I think Rasmussen had 20+ digs and no passing errors vs Texas?).
A talented/experienced transfer middle would be a higher priority than a talented libero. A middle threat would open up the outside and the younger middles will have someone to emulate.

And that team would have kept on winning if Ashley Watanabe didn't get hurt.

would’ve thought Natasha Burns would have been long gone from Hawaii after graduation, curious to know what’s keeping her here? looks like she’s planning to be around for a bit, she posted about fostering some animals on social media. could she possibly be rethinking forgoing her final season?

I believe she is enrolled in grad school at UH still, but I don't think she is considering playing volleyball next season. I think she wants to just focus on her education now, which is perfectly reasonable considering how difficult being a student-athlete can be.

I feel like Choi is going to be this season’s Stephanie Brandt. She was a killer serving sub and great defender with Mafua setting full-time...

I am just guessing, but maybe Robyn trying a competition between both setters( get the best out of them) And may the best setter win.......Both of them will be seniors too......

Okay, so when the Wahine girls show up in July, please post the classes they're taking. I know this may seem creepy, but it's not like I'm asking you to take photos of them in the student center or out by the Japanese gardens. I find class info very interesting. By the way, are there koi in those ponds and rivers? Do people sit by the banks or are there too many fooking mosquitoes for that shiite?
