Beautiful set up. I am torn about the outcome here.

Let's go Ducks! I would love to see some better serving and a good clean match. Special kudos to not only LVW and Ronika last night, but also the freshmen in the back row (Brooke and Cam), who were both fantastic.

Hawaii’s middles and libero played well enough for Hawaii to win but it was an anemic performance by their pins. 13 Kills for 4 players (Granato, Castillo, Gaskin, and Iosia) combined through 2 sets last night. That is just not going to cut it. They need better production out of their outsides or they will go home with another loss. Granato especially, needs to step up. The team relies on her, she needs to play better because she can. Last night was not a good match from her on the offensive end.

Against Portland hitting .120, SDSU .037, and Oregon .150. This just will not cut it. She started off the season well, and trended up ward from there. She was hitting very smart. But in the last 3 matches she has trended back to the way she was hitting as a Freshman and Sophomore. Not hitting smart, just trying to power through the block. What is going on with her.

She's reverted back to old habits after cleaning up her mental game earlier this season. She can be better for the Bows- that is why I'm focusing on her. Hawaii needs her to be better. I'm going to have to re watch the match tape and because I don't completely remember how Oregon defended Hawaii's offense. But one thing is certain...the biggest problems on offense last night for the Wahine were Castillo and Gaskin. They hit a combined -.027 % (only 5 kills on 36 attempts). Iosia had almost as much points as those two combined. Granato needs to be better but Castillo and Gaskin need to step it up as well.

I do not know if Skyler Williams can play OPP, or even practiced at that position, but tonight would be the match to find out, not wait until Conference season to find out. Gaskin is just not cutting it at OPP. The rotations when Gaskin comes in to play the front row, especially when she is at OPP, is the weakest rotation for the Wahine. If you look back at last night's match, it was in that rotation when Oregon made their runs.

Skyler Williams mentioned in her pre-match interview last weekend, she would do anything to get on the floor, willing to play any position, serve, and whatever. Well, now is your chance, OPP position is wide open, take it, let's see if your play speaks louder then your words.

Does Sky Williams know how to hit line? Cross court? Tool off the block? These are things you learn from repetition and experience. You can't just throw someone into the fire like that unless you're Kim Willoughby.

Someone explain to me why Kirsten Sibley won't work out at the OPP position? Is it her blocking?

Someone explain to me why Kirsten Sibley won't work out at the OPP position? Is it her blocking? Blocking could be an issue but it's more an offensive thing for me as Sibley is kind of sluggish in her approach to the ball. I like Sibley but not sure if she'd be successful there. That said, Robyn should give her a shot if Gaskin continues to struggle.

Castillo is just going to struggle on the outside against the good teams. She just doesn't hit a heavy enough ball. I don't think she's really doing anything wrong per se, she just doesn't have the arm swing. At this point in her career, it's unlikely to change significantly. You can only mix up your shots so much...

Gaskin's hitting 112 cumulatively so RAMS needs to put up some fencing on the free range. ANYONE give ANYONE else an opportunity because at this point doesn't matter if they do worse, nothing to lose only to gain.
I wonder how far c4 thinks this Oregon lineup will go in the tourney? The most embarrassing match I've seen this year by far, beyond words.
