Gaskin's hitting 112 cumulatively so RAMS needs to put up some fencing on the free range. ANYONE give ANYONE else an opportunity because at this point doesn't matter if they do worse, nothing to lose only to gain. I wonder how far c4 thinks this Oregon lineup will go in the tourney? The most embarrassing match I've seen this year by far, beyond words. Well, Akiu is one of the best defenders in the country. So give Hawai'i some credit.

Tita was fantastic, but we all know a team's only as good as its weakest link. And Raskie's Oregon's weakest link. BVS a little shaky too but can't expect much having her only as a DS.

UW lost to Pitt 75-48, UCLA lost twice to Poly - including a set at -11, Colorado lost to Wyoming, USC lost to UCF, Florida lost to NAU. We go into the Stan Sheriff Center, a week after knocking off a Top 10 team on a neutral court, for a match that tips off at 10 Pacific (and last week the Gophers were complaining about a 7 PM Minnesota time tip....) and SWEEP Hawaii and you're bitching and moaning? WTF is wrong with you? Go pollute another team's thread. Have you ever even been to an Oregon game?

I just need Hawai'i to close out one set please. Get some confidence that they can actually take a set off of a good team.

Well, Idaho and SDSU took a set off Hawaii so I'm thinking there's no magic this year.

Someone explain to me why Kirsten Sibley won't work out at the OPP position? Is it her blocking? Blocking could be an issue but it's more an offensive thing for me as Sibley is kind of sluggish in her approach to the ball. I like Sibley but not sure if she'd be successful there. That said, Robyn should give her a shot if Gaskin continues to struggle. Sibley just does not hit a heavy ball, even Castillo hits a heavier ball then she does. But the one thing I can say for Sibley, at least she keeps the ball in play when she hits, that could be a good, or bad, thing.

Does Sky Williams know how to hit line? Cross court? Tool off the block? These are things you learn from repetition and experience. You can't just throw someone into the fire like that unless you're Kim Willoughby. That I do not know. Have not seen her in practice, or even know if she has practiced at OPP. Was just throwing it out there. Right now, anyone would be better then Gaskin at Opposite. Another thought, why not switch Liva and Gaskin. Have Gaskin play Middle, and Liva play OPP. Do not believe there are to many lefty Middles in D1, it could give the opposing team some difficulty defending a lefty middle.

I am a Hawaii fn, but looking at last night and past games, Hawaii, I feel is done for the season. I think they will be #3 or #4 at the end of the season in BWC.

totally agree. hawaii can't get it done. not enough talent, coaching, etc. granato isn't the answer, she sucks against teams worth anything. she's the local girl who will play cause she did well in hawaii. ma'afala should go play football, as she should not be setting in any match. robyn needs to put her ego aside and suck it up and start coaching.

It is not Robyn's ego that is in the way. It is the lack of talent on this team. The only reason Ma'afala takes over the setting duties when she come in for Gaskin, is because their best Opposite is Iosia. If someone would take control of the Opposite position, other then Iosia, Robyn can put Iosia back at the setter position, full time. But until that happens, Iosia will split setting duties with Ma'afala. Granato, is an OH2 at best. She is the OH1 by default. Right now, the problem is not coaching, the problem is the players listening to what the coaches are telling them and following through with it.

Well if that's the case then don't expect the Wahine to be in the post season. 3rd or 4th in the Big West sounds reasonable at this point. It is what it is. Hope they prove me wrong.
