Granato needs to quite thinking she is Kim Willoughby reincarnated, and stop trying to power through a block. She needs to hit smartly, high hands, off the block, or soft shots, mixing up her shots, which she started to do early on in the season. But lately she has gone back to trying to power through a block, it is just not going to work.

Well if that's the case then don't expect the Wahine to be in the post season. 3rd or 4th in the Big West sounds reasonable at this point. It is what it is. Hope they prove me wrong. I tend to agree. I believe the Wahine will be one of maybe 3 or 4 teams battling it out for 2nd in the BWC.

We saw they can compete, they just not to do what oregon has been doing in the past and having mental lapses. If they can play consistant, they can do it. This team has the potential. They just haven't realized it yet.

All this talk about second place in the Big West is BS. People are putting too much emphasis on Poly’s victories over UCLA. Not to downplay those victories but the Bruins don’t seem to be as good as we thought they’d be this season. Hawaii has been up and down but they played some good teams: Oregon, Portland, Kansas State. Yeah, Hawaii seems to be a work in project but I’m not writing them off. Poly hasn’t beaten Hawaii this year.

Speaking of outside hitters, I’m about to go see Kathryn Plummer live and I’ve never been more excited to watch someone in person. She’s gonna shut these annoying Texas fans right up and I’m very pumped. Too bad the Wahine can’t get a 6’6 beast on the outside haha

Came home late from the match last night and was tired and disappointed so didn't't post my thoughts after the match. Sorry if some of these comments are "piling on" but aside from Akiu and maybe our middles, I thought we stunk up the place last night. It's one thing to lose if we played well but we didn't play well at all. Pretty much all phases of the game were awful. We lost the serve receive battle once again, our setting was pretty terrible at times, and our block disappeared again. We didn't touch many balls, and whats up with backing off of the net and trying to pass Vander Weide's back row attack? Whose *brilliant* idea was that? Our pin hitters were ineffective but part of that is our setting. Lot's of trap sets again. Very disappointed in Granato's play last night. It's as if she's given up. She's not confident in her attack anymore. She needs to get out of her own head and just play...As our "go-to" we need her to play well every night. She can't check out like she did last night. Let's hope Robyn has worked some coaching magic and the Bows play better tonight...

robyn does coach with her ego. she thinks her players are the same as her and angelica. they are no where near. she thinks her teams can just go out there and win. instead of jumping up and down and screaming, don't be afraid to coach the team up. make adjustments, do something instead of just watch the team lose set after set.
iosia is not even that dominant on the outside. it doesn't matter if she does get kills, without a good setter they got no shot. ma'afala will not get it done. if iosia was that dominant it's different, but she's not. once league starts she will get exposed hitting.
cal poly hasn't beaten hawaii...yet. they will and it won't be pretty. hawaii played ok teams and struggled. the match with oregon was competitive because they let it be close.

Have to agree on the part where after 13 attempts and zero kills and still no sub for that player. Bad coaching right there. SMH

Obviously you have never been to a game. Robyn coaches every play. She is doing the best she can with the players she has. And hilarious of you to claim that Iosia will be exposed in conference. Lol She’s doing well as a hitter against bigger, better players than she will see in conference. You seem to be good at pulling @$$%*!* out of your ass but those of us who have a clue know better. Every year you insert your idiotic comments and stink up Hawaii threads. Go cheer on Poly in their thread instead of making an ass of yourself here, fanboy.

What I was most frustrated about last night was how much Iosia didn’t get set. Iosia still hit a solid percentage but only got 11 sets. She needs the ball more in my opinion.

Rios Okino disappointed last night. Hope she has a better match tonight.
Haha “Rios” is a typing error. Imma call her Rios from now on. Rios, you need to move your feet!
