If you're talking about my post(s) publius, then you need to 'take a chill pill'. I know Marvin (from my playing days on the beach) and still see him a couple of times a year. He's always taken jokes about his size in stride and often makes cracks about himself. Besides, my comments weren't 'in poor taste', they were good natured and harmless. In fact, I've been with the group when Marvin has said worse things about himself. So, if your post was directed at me, relax...you'll live longer! [/quote] I do know you from robertmotley. I did not make an error in my post. So no chill pill required here. I stand by my previous post, and if robertmotley cares, please imail me and I will explain.

Maybe he was refereing to this? "that fatfudge Marvin had it out for the Beach all night " He probably was refering to this. I'd challenge anyone else who was at the game to tell me I am wrong.

I believe we're confused because you quoted my post, but then directed a comment towards robertmotley. I simply added my 'two cents worth' in case you were somehow offended by my comments. I don't think you've clarified yourself in the previous post and that's what TSB may have been saying in their post as well.

Jillian Mazzarella notched her 16th double-double of the season with 64 assists and 10 digs, to go along with a career-high five blocks. Makini Thompson registered a career-high 17 kills. Taylor Peyton notched a career-high 14 digs. Emily Loomis posted a match-high 29 kills for Notre Dame.
Notre Dame pulled out a narrow 30-28 game one victory over the 49ers. Miramontes checked in with five kills for Long Beach State, while ND senior, Loomis tallied eight kills in the frame. Long Beach State unlocked a 10-10 tie with a 5-3 run to take a 15-13 lead, courtesy of a Lawlor kill. The Irish responded with a 4-2 run to even the set at 17-17. Notre Dame held the lead at 28-27, before an attack error tied the frame at 28-28. Two straight kills from Loomis and Lauren Brewster gave ND the game win.
Long Beach State rallied to even the match with a 30-22 game two win. Crimes had the hot hand, registering eight kills in the set. The 49ers hit for a .333 attack percentage (20-5-45). Notre Dame pulled to within five at 20-25 after a 49er attack error. However a 5-2 scoring run preserved the game two win for LBSU.
The 49ers took a 2-1 match lead after a 30-25 game three victory. Lawlor chipped in with five kills in the set. Neither team hit particularly well, as Long Beach State connected for a .191 attack percentage (17-8-47), while Notre Dame connected for a .156 clip (14-7-45). LBSU held on to the lead down the stretch as an ND service error ended the set.
Notre Dame sent the match to a fifth frame after a 30-22 game four victory. Crimes remained hot in the set, posting seven more kills. However the Irish had the offensive firepower with a .450 hitting percentage (20-2-40). ND never trailed in the set.
Notre Dame grinded out a 16-14 game five victory to close out Long Beach State.

Not having received an imail from robertmotley, I sent him one to explain my post. I responded. This board automatically replaces certain words with others, which may have lead to you misinterpreting my post.

Sorry for the confusion. I thought a robertmotley post was inappropriate, but I did not want to highlight it because that would have brought more (undesirable) attention to it. I have imailed my concern to him directly.

No worries then, it's all good.

AOK. And my beef with rm turned out to be a result of this board's censoring and substituting words that he had not used, which substitution was not appropriate, through no fault of his own.

Paul Gentil had 47 digs in Minnesota's match at Penn State. In that same match Kaleema Walters (sp?) had 45 digs.
