No way. Stanford received a crappy seed... look at who they have to face. I don't think anyone has a tougher second round match-up (FAMU who beat Nebraska or Florida who beat Stanford the past two years). Yeah, they got a GREAT seed. Are you telling me that Stanford does not pay back with Florida? Nnamani and company are ready and eager to represent.....ready to represent not only the Cardinal but also the color's of the dominant conference in women's college volleyball; THE PAC-10.

I am sure the fans and athletes of Penn State would gladly trade the fans and athletes of Hawaii their #2 for Hawaii's #3 just so the geography doesn't kill both schools. Doesn't really matter who they play but time in the air and final exams are going to be huge distractions for both of these high seeds the way the money loving NCAA has it set up. Washington gets what they want, they could have been a 15 seed for that matter and they still would have hosted their way right through it. Of course they are not a #7 seed but that is the way the math works. This thing is set up for the host fan base to succeed. Granted there are some crazy early match ups and there may a few upsets but in the end, money talks
Penn State ALWAYS gets cupcakes in the first and second round. This year is no different. This is a friggin' joke! December 3-4 at Penn State Towson (25-8) vs. Maryland (17-14) American (24-6) vs. Penn State (27-2) And you think Penn State got shafted. Hawai'i gets sent on the road to play CSU in the second round.
Now be careful here....don't wanna sound like "California Whine". Gee when one of our players made that (honest) comment back in '98 the impartial Madison press jumped on it like frog on a bug!

I wouldn't under-rate Florida or Mary Wise for that matter, I think they will give Stanford a good show, that is of course assuming they beat FAMU.
I was surprised that Penn State was the #2 spot and Nebraska got the #1. But hey, a lot of things don't make sense.

The cynical nature of your post is wrong, most of these schools if they reach the FF will go through adversity to get to the promised land.

The ease of PSUs (at-home) schedule in the first two rounds and the difficulty of Stanford/Florida/FAMU in the first two rounds stuck out like a sore thumb in these seedings. (Florida was #5 in latest RKPI.) And their regionals also seem to favor PSU. I agree Hawaii wasn't treated like a normal #3 seed, not hosting and facing a tough rated foe in the second round. Meanwhile, Minnesota was most "lucky."
When #4-5 rated Santa Clara women's soccer team was seeded #16 and sent to face #1 North Carolina at North Carolina, they put on a brave face saying, "It doesn't really matter what the order is, to get to where we will end up, we have to go through and beat the best." And, to record another classic gaffe to the NCAA's portfolio, that's exactly what happened. The soccer final four are at UNC. Hope they can draw a crowd.

Now be careful here....don't wanna sound like "California Whine". Gee when one of our players made that (honest) comment back in '98 the impartial Madison press jumped on it like frog on a bug! ROFL! The LBSU player got commented on in the local press because of her comment regarding Penn State's cupcake schedule. That was after LBSU had defeated Southern 15-0, 15-0, 15-0 in the first round and the highest ranked (going into the tournament) team they faced was Texas at #12. Penn State did have easy matches as well, however, the highest ranked team they faced was #7 BYU. The comment was very much akin to the pot calling the kettle black and bound to garner comments.
