UNC thread says Bell is headed to Tennessee. I think that was a no-brainer and good move for both parties. |

Kind of like at Stanford... haha no My perspective is that’s on the coach. They get “stuck” with them because THEY chose to recruit them. ----------------------------------- Agreed...if the coach is actually the one that recruited the player. But when there is transition from old staff to new staff, that's when you'll see these issues. Old culture to new culture, etc. That being said, just like some coaches, some players show a different side to themselves during the recruitment process. It's much easier for players to get out of that relationship than coaches. ------------------------------------ Thus, the challenge of coaching at a great academic school. You get stuck with kids that hurt your program for various reasons (don't pan out as a player, aren't interested in doing what it takes to win, want to be more social, etc) won't transfer when they're not playing because they want that degree. *** NOT SAYING THIS IS THE CASE WITH MEYER. SHE'S A GREAT PLAYER AND DOESN'T FALL INTO THIS CATEGORY *** Just highlighting an issue that comes with a school like Duke and a lot of the ACC schools. |

I understand that a Cardinal will be flying north in January. Why is everyone jumping to conclusions that this will be a Stanford player? While surely possible, it could easily be someone from Louisville joining a B1G team (north, across state lines) Megan Sloan from Louisville to Indiana. Posted on IUhoosiers.com |

It wouldn't surprise me to see more UNC players jump ship after their disastrous season. Is Cox staying put? Virtually guaranteed she will stay (although I never say never)... she grew up in Carrboro, which is 10 minutes from Campus, and her mother ran Track at UNC. |
