A solid RPI team that will make for one hell of a tournament

That's my guess. But I suppose the San Diego-Hawaii match could be the final. Who knows.

Additionally, if Washington loses 12 conference matches next year, I may just die.

Additionally, if Washington loses 12 conference matches next year, I may just die. I just wish a few of the OOC were home games. I think the only one, thus far, is one of the Wisconsin games. Conceivably, I think, they could lose the 6 to Stanford, Oregon and USC. Throw in 3-4 conference losses for good measure which would make it 10. My guess is a 13 loss season as a worst case scenario.

Washington Vs Hawaii matches are always my favorite, even though we haven't beaten you guys for years, they have always been a battle.
Excited for this match!

I do think this is a solid preseason schedule. The goal for Washington is to be in position for a top 16 seed. Stanford is just too good in the Pac, and the huskies will absorb too many losses to offset even a monstrous SOS to contend for a top 4 seed.
The goal is to 1- Get 50% of your preseason teams in the top 75 unadjusted to get the scheduling bonus and 2- Get the non-conference opponents win-loss percentage somewhere in the 70%. I think the huskies have accomplished this
Illinois, Wisconsin, Wisconsin, Creighton, San Diego, Hawaii are probably sure bets to finish the year in the top 75 rpi unadjusted, which meets the scheduling bonus criteria. In regards to the overall opponents win-loss record for the preseason, only Iowa comes in with a losing record from last year (and it was barely a losing record, and they should be a bit better this year).
I think Washington has a good chance to win all of their preseason matches except for that last week with Wisconsin. I'm hoping for at least a 7-3 non conference record, would prefer an 8-2 record, and would be over the moon with a 9-1 non-conference record.
a 7-3 non-conference record means the huskies need to find 8 conference wins to be tournament eligible. With the redheaded state schools (OSU, WSU, ASU) not looking so hot this upcoming year I feel very comfortable Washington will win enough to be tournament eligible. In regards to seeding, I also think that if they can take care of business with Cal, Arizona, UCLA and Colorado (who lost a ton), Washington should be relatively safe for a seed.
Best case scenario, if they can manage a 9-1 record non-conference, and take no more than 4 losses in conference, UW has an argument for a top 4 seed, depending what happens in the Big 12 and SEC.

I look forward to seeing the Huskies improve upon last year.

Two questions:
1) what's up with Sianna Houghton? I haven't seen any LOI ink on her. 2) what's up with Camryn Tastad? UW could use her too.
