How is the general health of the returning players? Florida is one of the few teams who has a chance to stop Stanford 2019. Agreed. I hear reports that the machine is coming back together quite well, with a little high octane mixed in. Stanford will be on campus in the fall, so we shall see firsthand how they match up. Do you know something we don’t???

First observations on the spring game: Thayer and T’ara aren’t dressed to play. This’ll be less interesting haha

Just got back from the spring matchup with Georgia Tech. Even though the team was without Thayer, T'ara, or Rachel (training with USA), they looked pretty good! Darielle got a TON of reps because Lauren must have broken/jammed a finger sometime in the first match. Darielle played all-time middle in the second matchup of the day lol.
Saw lots of lineups today. Paige/Mia/Morgyn all saw time on the left, Holly and Haley split time at opposite. There was even some double-sub action that allowed Anaya to get in on the fun. We played with 3 different liberos throughout the day. Allie started, Paula saw the most time at libero, and then Riley finished the day there.
I don't have too much to offer as far as analysis goes, but I thought we looked pretty good. Passing was pretty solid. Serving was great. Blocking was great. When Anaya came in, she set the middles a lot. Paige continues to look like the most steady player on the court. Darielle looked good behind the setter. Loved Paula at libero- she's a natural and I think Allie should be looking over her shoulder! Hmm. Without Thayer, T'ara, or Rachel playing, it's hard to know what the lineup would actually have any chance of looking like in the fall. It was a fun day watching the Gators play though. They won all 6 sets, a couple of which were close.
Fun fact: Georgia Tech's starting setter is the older sister of 2020(?) libero recruit, Ellie McKissock.

And I had forgotten that about the McKissock sisters.

Interesting about Anaya. When the ball is passed to the right side she will set middle. She rarely goes outside unless the ball is passed to the middle.

Not sure if it’s been mentioned, but 2020 6’3” RS Francesca McBride has decommitted from Florida.
