How do you think Thayer Hall compares to Carli Snyder? I think Snyder was a better server and more effective digger, but Thayer is a better blocker Hall is much farther along in terms of her impact out the gate. 6 rotations from her first match her freshman year. I think she's a better passer up to this point than Snyder ever was, which is saying something. Definitely better blocker, although Snyder was surprisingly effective at blockingfor someone with such a slim frame, and has a stronger arm. If she develops as deadly of a serve (again late career development for Snyder) and gets as creative with her shot placement, especially OOS, she'll be regarded as the better overall player when all is said and done. Not sure her digging will ever be up to Snyder's level, not saying it's poor today. Snyder was just more mobile.

I think Snyder was a better server and more effective digger, but Thayer is a better blocker I feel like it would only be fair to wait until Hall's senior year concludes to make this comparison. But just for the sake of conversation, Hall is either on par or better than Snyder was her sophomore season. It's necessary to mention that Carli was 4th on the team in total attacks that season. 2015: Snyder- 2.42 kills, .260, .12 aces, 2.41 digs, .38 blocks 2019: Hall- 3.86 kills, .253, .30 aces, 2.54 digs, .53 blocks

The ONE chance I had to see Carli Snyder play was when Florida played at Hawaii in 2015. Snyder suffered some sort of injury before the match so she never played. Therefore, I never saw Snyder play in my entire life. Not once.

A much better surrounding ensemble cast and not to mention, no need for Snyder to commit 100% to 6-rotations due to personnel. 2019 - Hall is the only source of offense consistently. Kramer is so hot and cold, Dooley is under-used at times, and Carlton and Hammons have somehow yet to find a rhythm offensively.

I would take Carli Snyder over Hall ANY DAY and EVERYDAY What about Carlton versus Shaina Joseph? I would have to say Joseph's offensive prowess trumps all of Carlton's other skills. I want Shainah's arm and block

Florida needs to get a good setter or they will waste outstanding pin play for the next 2 seasons.

Pretty sure Snyder, Recek and O'Rourke were always in serve receive in 2015, which was a major reason why we lost games when Snyder was injured or Recek was playing for her national team. Dubiel/Rogers (DS's) and Mallette just couldn't make up those three's level of play in that dept. So, Snyder was 6 rotations since her sophomore year if I recall correctly.

But I am not sure Snyder was ALWAYS 6-rotation. If I recall correctly from matches I would watch from back then, sometimes she'd stay in and sometimes subbed out. Whereas Hall I don't recall ever being subbed out.
