So now we’re saying the players that left were bad teammates in the locker room! Without knowing the players that are still there or the ones that left i couldn’t make a statement like the one you made. I’ve read that some of the transfers really loved Auburn and it was hard for them to leave. So yes undoubtedly there’s issues at Auburn but let’s not put the blame somewhere unless we know for sure it’s true. You read and interpreted quite correctly. Someone else's saying or implying otherwise ("insert previous inference") is irresponsible and rude. Edit: To be clear, said inference was not from your post.

Sometimes it's merely the combination of people that doesn't work. We all have said "on paper, that should be a really good team", and it doesn't seem to work out, and no one who's not in the locker room can really know exactly why.
Speculation is the main currency of Volleytalk. I'm hoping that the changes will result in a more cohesive team that overachieves. That's way more fun than underachieving!

Very sudden and sad loss for Auburn: Just awful. They were rear-ended by a teenager. So sad. You just never know.

Logan Brown has announced on twitter that she is indeed transferring from Arkansas to Mississippi State. Not sure if intra-conference transfer year penalty will apply in this case or what. Updating the first post now...

Miss state could use another OH. Does any Razorback fan have an idea why she left Arkansas. Should help the Dawgs

A couple LSU roster updates included in the first post. LSU - I'm not sure any team was more a negative surprise this year than LSU, although there were definite signs of improvement at the end of the season. Will Fran continue to try to make "Bannister OH" happen? Starters (usually) Beyer, Flory, and Rodriguez are all gone (as is stalwart utility player Kampen), and Armer -- who I thought was a revelation in 2017 -- slid into bench obscurity last season. Bannister, Cianciulli, Stokes, Mukes, and Foreman (who was starting to come on at the end) all return to provide a strong nucleus. The questions I have are, who are the pin hitters, and what pins are they hitting on? Bannister is a given somewhere, but the "where" seems to matter. Also, who sets? Zweibel was inconsistent (again) last year; does Goins challenge her? Do they run with two short setters (Goins and a Fr) in a 6-2 next season? Does Anwusi step right in, or will she need some time to adjust to the college game? Lots of potential and lots of questions for the Bayou Bengals. (Anita Anwusi, 6'3" MB; Samarah Hill, 6' OH; Meredyth Hill, 5'10" MB; Allee Morris, 6'2" MB/OH; Karli Rose, 5'6" S) Update Rich Kern indicates a new 2019 commit, 5’3” DS Jill Bohnet. Update: Rich Kern indicates that Paige Hilliard has transferred from LSU to Illinois State. She RS'ed her freshman season, so she should have four years of eligibility with the Redbirds. Update 2: The LSU 2019 roster does not include Jacqui Armer. Don't see any indication online (yet) that she is transferring - perhaps just hanging up the sneakers? The Tigers have certainly loaded up on MB talent (Anwusi, Morris, Foreman) in the past couple classes, but they will be short on experience in the middle with only the sophomore Foreman returning. My feeling is Bannister will stay on the RS. Also think we will see Rose in the starting lineup whether it be 5/1 or 6/2. This kid is good...will remind folks of Chloe Collins before the end of her career in Purple/Gold. Best guesses for MH will be Foreman/Anwusi. Anwusi will need time to develop but she is an athletic freak and is gonna be a good one! My best bet at the OH will be Stokes/Hill; but think Mukes will get plenty of playing time as well. Cianciulli will be pushed by Maher/Bohnet. If they gell my thinking is they will sneak back into the tourney this year.

I have begun updating the original post with commentary about scheduling. I have summarized pre- and SEC-season schedules wherever available and put in place holder text that I'll update as more schedules are released. I eagerly anticipate having my comments about schedules critiqued, preferably with patronizing condescension.

Should be a big boost to Penn State's RPI; right shrink??
