Return trip from Peopperdine coming here last season. Kinda underwhelmed by the schedule. Lots of return trip which is understandable and some gaming of RPI I actually thought the same thing regarding RPI... outside of Texas and Louisville all the remaining games did not get me excited and if those opponents (Dayton, Texas St., Pepperdine, etc.) have similar success as last year with RPI then it was a smart / gaming rpi schedule.

Thanks for the notices about schedules. Will update now - was out of town and mostly offline for a few days.

Both played well last night. In my opinion, Lilley outplayed SSS and Curry was solid.

Curry has improved greatly since her freshman season and I’ve always been a fan of Lilley. Glad to see them doing well

Looking at some of the preseason schedules published so far, how are they decided/picked? What factors do coaches look at when setting up their preseason schedules?

Setting up VB preseason schedules is a real art form, it’s all about the RPI. Playing teams that won’t hurt you if you lose to them ( very high RPI’s) and beating teams that are at the top of their individual conferences. Some coaches get it and are masters at it. It really does your team no good to schedule cupcake low RPI teams where you start the season 6-0. Sometimes there’s a “ home and away “ agreement with a team that also figures in. ( Nike sponsored tournaments for example) It’s not about getting your team ready with high level competition, because no one has jelled yet as a team and I’m not so sure playing high level competition does much this early ( I suppose if you win it’s motivating if you lose you say you’re team is still getting to know each other’s strength and weaknesses). Just know that coaches spend a considerable amount of time trying to get a particular pre-season arranged for their team.

Kentucky has published their full schedule, including conference matches, and those are now included up top.

Why do MO and Auburn have 4 televised games and '18 conf champ has 3? How does that work?

Miss St schedule is weaker only having to play Kentucky and Florida once. Don’t know if that will make a difference in the conference won loss record or not. Hope so.

Being reported that Jacqui Armer from LSU is transferring to Indiana. Glad to see she's not retiring, and wish her well as a Hoosier!

How'd that one slip by dman ? Ha! Out of respect to her I wanted to let her announce this when she was ready. Great kid that overcame some health issues last year! Sometimes, things don't mesh like you hope they would. She will be a big help to Indiana and now Anwusi will need to step up and own the spot with Foreman! Wish Jacqui nothing but the best!!
