Penn State doesnt have the OH’s to win another national championship anytime soon. Texas doesn’t have the coaching. The match against Michigan was so telling for Texas. They can overpower ANY team in the NCAA. But once you start playing smart volleyball, even teams with far less talent can give Texas a huge challenge. Plenty of teams proved that this year, despite Texas having arms every team would drool over, top 5 talent across the net. If Stanford can land a quality 2020 OH, we will be talking about Stanford And Nebraska competing for the title for years to come, absent unforeseen upsets. Their recruiting and execution is just too good. It’s crazy to think that Stanford really should have Hodson on the roster. Kendall Kipp (MB/RS) #2 recruit Caitie Baird (OH) #3 recruit Selina Xu (S) #5 recruit Mckenna Vicini (MB) #10 recruit Good timing...incoming killer recruiting class for Stanford this time with numerous top 10s... Another amazing class here. Kipp will be a talent highlight for years to come...

Back to thread title, I just re-watched this match another time; Especially reviewing the first 2 sets. This could've Easily been 2-0 UNL, save for Stanford's 5 SAs 1st set. NO Way 2-0 SU.

Yup, that still doesn't mean Stanford couldn't have won all the same, but I'm sure Nebraska was kicking themselves over that first set. By the stats, they should've won it, but Stanford's serve that first set was the equalizer.

Why no? She's a sophomore. Because she touches 10'9", moves like she's 5'9", has a whip for an arm, and plays like she's possessed by a demon. She's a for sure hard pass, duh. Your "possessed like a demon" comment, in addition to being accurate, reminds me of another B1G MB from a few years past Taylor Sandbothe. Loved her spirit, as I do Lauren's.

From the VDO, at match point, the person who immediately called McClure for back-row attack wasn't John Cook. It was his assistant, Reyes.

This is my edition of the match on Youtube. "2018 Dec 15 Nebraska vs Stanford Volleyball FINAL 1080p60 Complete & w/17 min. Post-Game" No other edition is this complete (and no commercials), in 1080p60 and has the 17 min. full post-game coverage. And even if they did have the 17 min. (which none do), mine was uniquely created from the 2 full camera feeds that were in the "Datacenter" edition on ESPN3. I took parts from both cams depending. Usually it was from the left one as the right one was what was over the air. However, sometimes I took the right one as the Datacenter right one had original on-the-floor SOUND which was not on the air due to being overdubbed by Paul Sunderland's fine commentary. Other than that, I tried to make the cuts (from one cam to the other) at places that professionals would consider appropriate. So, only here can you see the VB equivalent of the football Gatorade douse of the winning coach. If you're watching a video of this match and it's not 2 hours 58 minutes, you're watching the wrong video. This is really fantastic work. The quality of the VDO is excellent. Love the post match celebration. Other versions don't have them.

Why no? She's a sophomore. Because middle is BY FAR our deepest position. Lauren is very good, but she may have to be top 10 at her position in the world just to make the roster. She just doesn't seem to have anywhere near the athletic ceiling that many of our other options have.

That's just flat out crazy talk.
