First sentence is so accurate. May is a top OH in the country and no one sees it's cause her teammates are just not it Without May I'd be scared to see what the scores of that game would have been like. May is very impressive: She was a NE Camper and recruit; but she wanted to go play on the west coast.

Question for those close to Cook and staff. Reading over the two match threads today and quite a bit of talk about Hames digging a lot shots. I think her ave is right around 3.0 dps. Isn't that a product of how we setup our defense? I seem to remember Hunter at times with quite a few digs, not to the extent that Hames has but still think it was a 2+ per set. How does it compare to other B1G setters?

As simple as NE needed a back-up setter. Drewnick came in briefly in a double-sub. * Top Setter Kennedi Orr comes in 2021.
Yeah, that is what I thought. Orr seems great, can't wait to get her! But I just thought Drewnick was a highly ranked recruit, and had played for the Brazilian? youth national team. Just seems odd she would come to Nebraska to be back up all four years when she could have gone to an arguably equally as good program and started right away. Well; she is only 17, and I believe she's thinking long game. What better place to train, not have the pressure of starting, and be tutored by 2X Nat. Champ Kelly Hunter. - and indirectly through Kelly's teaching from one of Kelly's former mentors; USA Setter and Husker Coach Tyler Hildebrand.

I WOULD LIKE TO SEE IT. If she keeps playing like this and be consistent all year long I can see her getting it.

You're right. I had an error in my table. I'm keeping track of them separately. Before I post, I will make sure to double check with the website before publishing!

I understand what colaradokidd is trying to say, but long game wise practicing is so different from actual game play. That would be four years of training, but rarely getting to put that training into action. Playing in games after I think she would struggle even though she is getting amazing training, but adding 4 years of playing in matches would elevate that

Playing in games after I think she would struggle even though she is getting amazing training, but adding 4 years of playing in matches would elevate that I believe Nicole is a Texan with dual citizenship through her parents - so playing for Brazil is a bonus. Will she stay at NU for 4-5 years? - who knows! A quote from Nicole when recruited: “Nebraska obviously is a very successful volleyball program, but it’s not just that they win all the time,” she said. “It’s more like the culture, the coaching. After college, a lot of the girls that played for Nebraska, like (assistant) coach (Kayla) Banwarth, went on to the Olympics. After college, I want to expand my career. This is a place that would help me achieve my dreams after college.” Full Article: www.omaha.com/huskers/volleyball/nicole-drewnick-a-texas-sophomore-with-international-volleyball-pedigree-commits/article_c9831102-57ee-5201-ab38-8c537b64b25d.html
