top 4 big west teams. all hit over .400. talk about domination That’s an understatement. LBSU and UH hit over .500, Irvine barely hit below .500 at .490 and UCSB at .423. Mind boggling is more like it.

Big West kicks off conference play with Irvine going to UCSD Hawaii hitting an incredible 0.470 so far, LB @ 0.42 Hawaii #1 in hitting %, #2 in digs, # 2 in Blocks, & #2 in aces.....that's pretty impressive, even if only 6 matches so far the real interesting stat is LB is last in conference in blocks per set, even with a schedule that hasn't been too demanding. Some of that is their hitting and serving, but still interesting as the only change in the front line was Huus Hawaii's stats are still pretty empty. Only significant opponent has been Stanford

Bows are playing with a chip on their shoulder this year, they'll need this cuz their toughest opponents will be road matches. Can't wait for the Big West schedule to begin, that's when we see fireworks.

Can't wait for the Big West schedule to begin, that's when we see fireworks. they weren't playing with a chip on their shoulder last year?! Nope. They had nothing to be upset about at least at the time.lol They played its game. Not getting into the tournament last year however was brought up many times on tv and on their social media pages that they comin for blood this year. Well, they will need it because the weak schedule wont do them any favors. You wanna be the best you need to beat the best at their place. BYU, UCI, and LBSU come to mind. These men know what they need to do. Take care of business at home and snag a win or two against the other big dogs on the road. Then come tournament time, let the 7th man do what they do at the Stan Sheriff. I expect 8-10k when the BWC tournament time comes around. Exciting! We shall see...

Hawaii's problem is that they falter at the end of the season. They've lost some big matches at home in the end of the season as well.

I like Hawaii's chances this year to make the NCAA tournament. Balanced team, more experience, and hosting BWC are all conditions that favor a strong season for the rainbow warriors. I even like them to push LBSU for the automatic bid and regular season championship. Hawaii's disappointment from last year and more mature play this year will be positive intangibles. Long Beach are defending champs and can potentially suffer some complacency. These factors will narrow any perceived gap between Long Beach and everyone else in the Big West.

Hawaii's problem is that they falter at the end of the season. They've lost some big matches at home in the end of the season as well. That was brought up by the team. They don't want it to happen and they've worked extremely hard in the off season and in practice so it doesnt. We shall see if all that work actually pays off lol
