Wow, Gorf. Can you do a table like that for my comic books? From "worth the most" to "bird cage lining" ? Not if you still have more than about 250 comic books. It would probably take enough characters per book that it would eat up the 10,000 character limit per post here. Now, if you meant in say HTML or perhaps even a spreadsheet - sure I could do it. Would I do it is a totally different question though. BTW: Good to see you posting again on VT.

Thanks, GORF. Yeah, I have been sorta out of it for a while dealing with all the cancer treatments. But comic books and good volleyball definitely help! ;D
And yeah, I guess it would be hard to do with several thousand comic books.

I think I've told you in the past that I have between 25,000 - 30,000 of them.
I told my wife she could have whatever money she could get from selling them if she would take the time to organize all of them first.
I won't repeat her reponse...

Hang in there, I know it's NOT fun. (I really wish I had had computer games/discussion boards when I did my 7 week stint at UCLA, but that was before the computer revolution, by a year or so, 1983.)

Thanks, SantaBarbarian. It always helps to know that there are people out there who have gone through this and are doing great now. I plan to be around for a long time (and watching and playing volleyball!).

You were just looking for the wrong computer systems back then TSB.
The U of Illinois' PLATO system was a nationwide network that offered many of the features of the present day internet even back in the early / mid 1970s.
Forums like this, instant messaging, good graphics (though at a lower resolution), etc..
Even highly addictive interactive games that caused many a student to fail courses!

I LOVE stuff like this! Awesome. The temperature differential between Northridge and Los Angeles has me a little worried, as does the Austin/San Marcos variance. Who's going to do a school colors versus teams that begin with consonants analysis?

Who's going to do a school colors versus teams that begin with consonants analysis? I think you just volunteered yourself for that task.
