I know we have a couple more years left in this decade, but in your guys opinion, who has been the best player to play in the decade.
IMO it has to be plummer. 2 time AVCA POY and only a junior? She very well may accomplish what no other player has ever done before.
There have been other greats like Danielson, Murphy, Hentz, Foecke, Hagglund, Lowe, Rettke, Carlini, etc. Who else would you guys add.

I'd be hard pressed to even declare who was the best Buckeye of the decade. And I made it to multiple games each year.

Why not do it by position and then choose from that lot.

I can't name any players beyond Kanani Danielson, Emily Hartong, Nikki Taylor, and Emily Maglio.

Why not do it by position and then choose from that lot. That would be interesting! I would love to see what others think of this and who they think was the best by position! Would we include players such as Klineman, Brown etc who only played one year in this decade?

I would think if Plummer wins POY in 2019 sheโs a lock and rightly so. My other nominees would be Hancock or Wilhite. Vansant was also dominant and super fun to watch. Foecke would break into the top 5 imo but not enough for POD....not sure Hentz would make my top 10....but maybe!๐

Why not do it by position and then choose from that lot. So, dating back to 2009? I think the list I would choose from includes: Plummer, Hooker, Carlini, SSS, D. Cuttino, Hodge, H. Washington, Vansant, Inky, Eckerman. I would go with Plummer as the best. The back-to-back NPOYs, 3x 1st Team AA, co-MOP is a resume that is unmatched. And, is likely to improve even more in 2019. I think Rettke and Samedy are on the cusp. I also liked Payne, Nwanebu, Hancock, and Alhassan. But, to me, are just off the list. This is also all off the top of my head, so I probably overvalued some and undervalued (Forgot about) others.

Should the decade's best player have been on a National Championship team? Or at least been part of a reasonably successful team?
