Past her prime....most likely.
Starting setter for the NT.....more likely.
We might as well accept it. For now.....
Let’s see how the 2019 International Season goes down.

Today was the South American Championship final and just like in the Brazil Cup, Lloyd was awful and ended the game on the bench. This only shows her poor performance in the WCH had nothing to do with the fast system. She's showing she simply can't play under pressure. I wonder why. Could the ultra fast offense have affected her game? Her injury? That’s so hard to believe as setters usually get better with age. Didn’t watch the match, but it seems Lloyd works best when she has a reliable opposite. She used to be an excellent Euro style setter. National team doesn’t have that power opposite and neither does Brazil club ball.

The thing is, she has been doing OK in regular season games, but she really struggles in important games.

Osasco won 3-1 vs Barueri and qualified for the semifinals. Hooker leaded the team with 34 points

I saw the whole match and she really carried the whole team. Her last few matches, she was playing like her 2010-2012 level.
She still is the best US opposite. Lowe may be getting good results but I don't think she can carry that so much load. Both of them should be part of the NT for Toyko!

Dam, what the hell happened with Hooker and Kiraly? You telling me you can't let bygones be bygones to win Olympic Gold, very strange. Path seems to be laid out and he's not following. Somebody's putting themselves before the team. Never win that way.

This would be the year if Hooker were to return. If she's able to abide by Karch's team rules then why wouldn't she be given a shot. Her Brazillian teammates seems to love her.

Someone tweet her and ask if she's reached out about training opportunities again.
Hell, if I were her, the first thing I'd do when I got back to the States would be to set up a lunch with Larson and Akinradewo, the only two holdovers from London, and see if they can't all get on the same page. Karch would have a hard time ignoring that.

I've been on a fix lately watching the US Women's Soccer team (such an offseason move, amiright!?) and the Destinee situation becomes even more frustrating when you start thinking about the parallels between her and Hope Solo.
In 2007, Hope Solo spoke out negatively IN PUBLIC against her own coach and team, was released from the team mid-competition due to a team vote/decision, took a year off, and then was back on the team in 2008. With Hope starting, the US won the Olympics in 2008.
In 2015, she was suspended from the USNT for 30 days due to an "incident" at training camp. With Hope starting, the US won the World Cup in 2015.
In 2016, she called the Swedes "cowards" after Sweden beat the US in overtime in the quarterfinals. After the competition, her National Team contract was suspended. Megan Rapinoe (still on the team, not scared to speak her mind) said it was probably a legal move by US Soccer, due to Hope's prevalence in the equal pay push.
Over several years of documented incidents, Hope was given multiple "second chances." Destinee, several years after supposed/undocumented "incidents," has been given zero second chances (assuming we buy she even did something wrong in the first place). If she did something that was truly that awful, there should be a public statement about it. If she did something that truly affected her teammates to a profound "we lost Gold because of it level," there shouldn't be a Stepford Wives-type sentiment surrounding the current and past USWNT members about speaking out about it (see: Megan Rapinoe). It just blows my mind we still don't know what Logan Tom or Destinee Hooker did specifically and that we're just supposed to trust Karch/the system/whoever despite the fact another US women's national team successful found ways to deal with a "troublesome" yet immensely talented player.

Hooker signed with Galatasary in Turkey last season, but later and of the sudden she changed her mind and she said she would not play for them anymore. The club was blindsided.
She signed with Osasco, but she only showed up 2 months later from the date that she was supposed to. Her excuse was that she had visa issues. She did the same thing with Minas the season before and her excuse was her passport expired.
This is not what a pro does. All the Americans even the ones that were in Japan, showed up on time, and none of them had visa or passport issues.
I think her problem is that she thinks she is entitled to do whatever she wants and whenever she wants. She won`t follow rules like everyone does. Like her season will start on the date that she feels like it and not on the date it is scheduled.
Her numbers this season are not even that great, she only had a handful of great games. Game 1 of the quaterfinals she only played well in sets 4 and 5. In the first 3 sets she scored like 5 points only. Lowe and Drews are putting up much better numbers against better competition.
Let`s see how she does against a actually good team (Minas) in the semis.
