It just dawned on me. They are after the top coaches!
Look at this list of coaches who have been shafted with the seedings this year.
Shoji Wise Hilbert Dunning Rose (arguable, but yeah) McLaughlin
who else?
These coaches are among the top 10 in Win % in the history of the sport but they have to match up in the round of 32?!

I don't really think you can say CSU got shafted... as they proved with their loss to Purdue, they aren't a Top 10 team. Hilbert may be a great coach, but his team isn't as great as everyone made them out to be. Rose didn't get shafted... whoever would have been placed in the Washington bracket would have been shafted because they'd have to beat Washington on Washington's homecourt. If anything, it was McLaughlin that was shown the lack of respect rather than Rose.

Had they not done that, and beaten Purdue, they still would have had a hard time against Hawaii. It was a gamble that didn't pay off 100%. I don't think that CSU losing to them in the first round proves that the committee was right.

You know two mall names in Hawaii... OOOOoooOh! It's not secret that the Beachman can throw insults around. It's no secret he's poor at receiving them. I don't think Gimmarillo isn't one of the best coaches out there, I was just pushing buttons in retaliation to the Beachman pushing buttons. Now... who REALLY needs that cluebird, Bob? One question: If you know so much about the sport... why don't you coach? Or should you rename your handle to sonofachicken?

The committee was right not to seed CSU - they lost in the first round for crying out loud to a team that finished sixth in the Big 10. Whether or not CSU overlooked Purdue or not isn't the point - supposedly, CSU had the talent to take on Purdue and they just didn't. Hawaii still gets the shaft because they had to travel when they shouldn't have had to. But CSU? Nope... it seems like they were right where they belonged.

More evidence that IdaHaveMyOwnButtonsPushedAllTheTime still doesn't have a clue. He thinks I was actually talking about Beachdork's post.

I still disagree with how "right" the committee was in NOT seeding CSU. They historically are a top-ten-to-fifteen team and this year is no different. Look at how many other top-ten-to-fifteen teams have been upset by NCAA qualified teams this season and you'll see that the Purdue win, while not trying to take too much from Purdue, really was an odds off win.

The Huskies are at home for 4 rounds. If that's being shafted I gotta see what its like to get something favorable.
