Just wondering who is favored in this match? And if the Illini can beat them in the tourney for a second straight year?

It is kind of hard to gauge, given that C-USA seemed to be down this year, giving Louisville fewer measuring stick type matches. I have a feeling the Illini will win it, but that isn't really based on any real evidence. One thing I will say: the NCAA didn't do the Illini many favors with seeding, especially when compared with Wisconsin, who did finish two matches ahead of them in the conference but didn't beat USC, obviously. They have a tough first round match and then would probably play a pretty good Mizzou team in Columbia. Not the easiest of roads.

I don't like the Illini's chances. They are just way too inconsistent.
OTOH, we have no real way of knowing how good Louisville is this year. This will be a good measuring stick.

Louisville is good! They have the personal to put the ball away and good blocking but they are a little slow on defense. If you can hit past their blocks you have a good chance for a kill. I think Illinios defense will help them against Louisville but I think Louisville's bock may be too much for them.

I know about this link, but there isn't anything listed for this match. The NCAA site isn't exactly the most accurate or up-to-date place for information such as this, which is why I asked the question here.

They haven't beaten anybody at all, nada, not one good team....how can you say that??
