The American prison system is inhumane. We should subject as few people as possible to it. Given the justice should be applied equally to the rich and the poor, if we don't send poor people to prison, we shouldn't send rich ones either.

Frankly they have it better than most people in poverty. . They have three square meals a day, free medical, they can surf the Internet, they can read books in the library, does that sound like punishment to you? If anything prison has become way too nice and easy. What in the hell is the point of trying to correct yourself when you can live in style while you’re in prison?

Yes, and they retire to the sitting parlor in smoking jackets after supper. San Quentin is ever so civilized.

Thank goodness we have such very fine people in California inmates who volunteered to go fight the fires and risk their lives! During a pandemic! Respect.

Those that do that should be commended and even considered earlier for parole. Prison iis not supposed to be fun. It’s supposed to be punishment for doing stupid things. It’s like rewarding a child with an ice cream sundae when they slap their brother. Does that make sense?

She loved every minute of it and hated to get out. It was like Club Med. She wanted to go back. Does that sound like punishment to you?
