They need to serve MHP, as soon as Pavan hot her blocking in rhythm her offensive game soared. Yep. Second game they just got whipped, third its poor strategy costing them Canada served Kerri exclusively in this match and she just couldn’t hit around Sarah’s block. I agree that USA should have served Mel. Sarah was so dominant in sets 2 and 3. Still a good finish for Kerri/Brooke. Hard to argue that they’re not USA’s 2nd best team right now or at least even with 2S.

Stream is back. Alix with the short serve leads to an overpass which she cleaned up. Score tied 7-7.

You arent watching? These 4 on hard packed sand is almost a men's match. I have a dentist appointment 😂 The stream died for me when it was 19-17 in Set 2. There’s no room for mistakes against Brazilian teams. Come on ATeam!

Its remarkable to me how much better April seems to play when she is the leader/superior player on the team. She was good with Kerri but seeing her here, and when she was with Jen, and when Kerri had to play lefty because of the injury, its like somehow knowing that if she doesn't get it done her team has no chance take her to another level. Maybe just my perception but she seems so much more comfortable in that role
6-5 Brazil, the stream is frozen

USA up 10-9. April with two outstanding digs that went over and then they tried to get Alix short and she tomahawked it to the back court for the point. Now 11-9 Ateam with Brazil calling TO.

9-8 Brazil. Terrible luck to let Brazil get to 8 on a bump over that hit the net and threw Alix off. Level of play falling a little, teams look tight

Duda no confidence on her partner. That 2 ball Alix blocked to get 11 was criminal to attempt. Alix showing some nerve with that over on one. She is playing really well

Oh my. April had another dig and as Alix is setting the ball they blew the whistle for a net touch on Alix. Crazy late call and she argued instantly to no avail.

Phew! ATeam into the semi. They’ll play the Dutch team that they lost to in pool play.

Ateam closes out the match 15-13. Alix with the last point on a line over shot. For as intense as the third set was, it was anticlimactic ending. Happy they were able to come back after a rough first set.

Bummed that KJW and BS didn't pull that out. Does this run keep them out of CQs? I have no idea where they sit vs. 2S in the Tokyo chase, but I hope they get that spot over them. Would love to see Sarah get egg on her face with her idiotic decision.
Duda/Agatha vs ATeam is a fun matchup. It's basically a coin flip everytime they play. It was a coin flip when Kerri/April played them in their last match together. I wonder if they pulled that match out, how much that would have altered the course of this quad.
It wouldn't surprise me if the ATeam were the #1 team by Tokyo. Sure there are matches (usually in pool play/early rounds) where they get exposed (mostly Alix), but they are so money when they need to be or when they give a !!!!###$$$!!!. I trust April to lead the way and get it done. I will never forget how she completely dragged Fendrick to a World Championship final and completely pulled that Canada semi out of her ass when they had no business beating a team of that caliber. That run will prove to be pivotal now that she actually has someone she can win against any given team on any given week.

They could be the best team right now if Alix can steady out a little. No one is really seizing the reigns. Could be Ana/Rebecca or Brandie/Heather but those teams arent running off multiple wins in a row like KW/AR or LL/KW. Czechs, Canada 2, Duda, could all dominate on a given day but I dont see any of them winning 4 events in a year ever. Field is wide open and any one of almost 10 teams could win a full field event right now.

Not sure why that semifinal video is deleted on YouTube. But Canada vs Canada is live right now.
Brandie and Heather up 9-5.
