If Hawaii and LBSU were to meet up in the NCAA Final Match, it will be very interesting. Being the #1 seed, Hawaii would be designated the Home Team in the Pyramid. The opposite just occurred in the BWC Tournament Championship Match between these two teams, held at the SSC. LBSU being the #1 seed in the BWC Tournament was designated the Home Team.

This isn’t surprising. Hawaii’s nitty gritty breakdown was better in virtually every category except H2H.

Stoked they didn't make Pepp & SC play in the PIG. One, the 3&4 should not have to and two, they just played each other.

Total surprise to me Hawaii is #1. Thought they would easily be #2. Thinking the only reason why Hawaii got the #1 seed is because they got the automatic, whereas LBSU was the at-large entry. Yeah but....Come on. 🙄 However, Lewis/USC are both going to require serious attention and playing physical ball.

Hawai'i and Long Beach are clearly pretty evenly matched. Perhaps giving Hawai'i the #1 seed was a small way to off-set any Long Beach home court advantage and let the best team win.

Too me, giving Hawaii #1 just gave LBSU another reason to be more fired up.

Just for pun lol.

I think the seeding is right and looking forward to the tournament. One step at a time but I will be rooting for my flyboys all the way! Go Flyers!

Hawaii already has beaten both Pepperdine and Princeton. Tbh, I think they have the harder draw at #1 against either Lewis or USC.
I swear Hawaii shouldve been the #2.

I think a case can be made either way for who is the #1 seed. Bottom line though is they are easily the two best teams in the country.
I expect them to be playing again in the finals and that it has a great chance to go 5 sets again.
I personally think UH might have a slight advantage only because even in the win, they clearly had some obvious simple adjustments to make.
Foe example, as they match went on, Worsley pretty much forgot about his middles, but in the 5th set, he set the middles and they crushed it.
Thus, imo, if UH can consistently get their middles involved, they'll win. But if Worsley forgets about them, theyll lose.

Past two years h2h played only a small factor in seeding, receiving an at-large. Hope this means more top teams will be willing to play each other knowing that 9-10 losses on the season will still get you in!

You have to feel for Pepperdine being the third seed but drawing the best team in the country for the semis. Hawaii may end up having their hands full against Lewis in the other semifinal match up, now that Lewis is back at full strength. Ahh Yes, Because LBSU is miles ahead of Hawaii.
