Honestly think Scott's serving is a mental thing. Kid probably has PTSD from misconnecting and serving under the net against OSU in the ncaas last year

I will go ahead and guarantee that barring injury or just deciding he does not want to pursue volleyball beyond college, Scott will be on the active USA Olympic roster for the 2024 Olympics, and likely at least 1 other, if not 2 other Olympic games. I would bet literally every penny I have on it.
There's a reason that at every step of his international playing career he has won the Best Blocker award at every major competition.
If people want to site his lack of serving ability and ask how the kid can play in college matches, let alone make a National Team, it's just showing how uninformed of an opinion you have (and goes to show how good of a MB you have, if your biggest complaint is his serving). Yes, serving is incredibly important. But for a middle, it's way, way down the list of important aspects of the game. I am 100% certain that Speraw is confident he can get Scott's serving to "adequate."

With Nsakanda and that AZ lefty (Vball Magazine #1 recruit) one will have to sit their entire college career. Although, not heard or seen much of the AZ kid. Nsakanda and Sniedmiller looks to be a good one-two punch for the Anteaters the next two years. I honestly think they can coexist, Nsakanda played a couple matches at outside and did decently. With more reps passing he could be dangerous on the left

Stadick has indeed regressed versus progressed during his time in Irvine.

You guys can think what you would like. I'm just telling you that unless there is an injury or he decides not to pursue a volleyball career after his UCI career, Scott will be on the Olympic roster in 2024, and most likely at least 1 other Olympic game.

There is no reason other than favoritism that Scott Stadick gets to serve the ball when it is his turn in rotation. His inability to get the easiest float serve in that frankly could be compared to a 10 year old girl’s serve is beyond me. In regard to making the Olympic team without being athletic, is just not going to happen. Obviously whoever believes that hasn’t watched the abilities of great middles over the last several Olympics.

Has anyone seen the guys who have committed to UCI play? How likely is it that at least one outside hitter will be ready to play next year?

Thanks. But I am wondering if Kam or Joel suffer an injury or have a bad night will they have an oh option.
Or will they have to move Bowles or Nsakanda over next year.

UCI will be fine...it’s a great program and will continue to be a great program with very good coaching stuff... Don’t really understand all that “beat the tall guy” thing...
