Which of the "seniors" are most likely to return? Morgan Martin Amy Ozee Harlee Kekauoha Julia Scoles Norene Iosia The only ones I see returning are the ones who will still be in school next year, either graduate school or finishing up undergrad. I understand Julia Scoles is planning on transferring for grad school. Several time zones away.

It’s too bad if she doesn’t come back. I kind of understand her leaving because she is so far from home but would have been nice to see her finish her career as a Wahine.
With Morgan, Amy, Norene and Harlee also seniors and questionable about coming back, maybe going to a team with a more talented roster might be a better move for her. She lost her chance to potentially win a title this year so hope she can land with a contender next year(if she is granted another year).
I’ve enjoyed watching her. Every time I go to Queen’s Beach, I always watch her matches more then any other.

A lot of the BVB players (and men’s) aren’t likely to be on full rides which means they would end up paying another year just to play vball. That’s a lot to ask.

So, I've been told that Amy Ozee is foregoing her senior year at UH. I don't know if that means she's moving on to pro beach volleyball or to graduate school somewhere else but it looks like she's not returning next year to the UH beach vb team.

So, I've been told that Amy Ozee is foregoing her senior year at UH. I don't know if that means she's moving on to pro beach volleyball or to graduate school somewhere else but it looks like she's not returning next year to the UH beach vb team. Yeah its on her Instagram: "Everyone has their story. I feel like it’s time to share part of mine as I walk away from UH volleyball sooner than expected. I started my volleyball career a lanky, uncoordinated kid no one wanted to play with. For recruiting, college coaches said I was too late, too skinny, or too in my head. Even if a coach looked interested, I saw that interest leave their face when I said I was from Maui. Hawaii was the one place that gave me a shot. I was obsessed with volleyball, and this opportunity meant everything to me to prove how much I wanted to do well in this sport. The sport helped me grow, but not as much as my teammates helped me. Every single one of my teammates has taught me something valuable and I will forever share some of my best memories with them. Especially my partners, like @hannah_zap and and @hiilawevh who taught me how to step up and toughen up as a freshman, or @mlmartin42 and @arihomayun who lovingly forced me into efficiency. @emilymaglio18 who gave me the most memorable year by giving my ambition a chance. And @brookevansickle2 , man, the damage we were about to do...no one was ready for that level of psycho. To my 2020 team, I have never been so proud. The kindest, most driven, most supportive and caring team that made my job as a senior the easiest job in the world. I loved every weights, Queens conditioning, practice, and huddle with you all. I cannot wait to see what you all do in the years to come. I’m so proud. Playing for Hawaii is something special, something hard to explain. Representing Hawaii has been nothing but an honor and every moment has made me so proud to be from these islands, and I hope other outer island kids know they can play at this level too. I struggle to let go of the dream we had for Hawaii athletics this season but I am just grateful to have had the best experience, with the best team, at the best school, with some of the best friends. To all the athletes (esp. seniors), I hope you’re finding nothing but opportunity. We’re so fortunate to live this kind of life, so lucky to have had the opportunities we’ve come across, and should be so grateful for the wonderful people in our lives. Stay healthy everyone, and mahalo🌈❤" Good luck to Amy on her future endeavors....

She is not forgoing her senior year. This was her senior year. With the cloud of uncertainty hanging around whether the NCAA will allow for seniors to replay the year, Amy is doing what is right. She is moving on. I think that is the most sensible thing to do. Not too many people want to hang around college longer than they need to. Even Julia Scoles said in this morning’s paper that she will move on and pursue a pro beach career even though she could have applied for hardship for one more year due to her concussion situation.

Yeah, yeah, that's clearly what I meant because a few posts above, I asked which of the current seniors will return, listing her name (among 4 others).

Iosia and probably Kekauoha are good enough to turn pro in indoor in Europe if they want to.
Morgan Martin also good enough to turn pro right now. At least for beach VB, you are probably better off turning pro earlier as the difference between college and pro is vast.

Is Regan Hurkett, graduating early? I recall seeing a social media post mentioning her as being missed by the lower classmen.
Also, I can't think of any benefit with staying if the player already graduated and is ready to move on with life. Martin, is pro beach ready and had a few decent results last summer in the AVP. As for the other beach players, I am looking forward to seeing Scoles, in the pro-circuit. Who knows, maybe they can stay and play while working/searching for a 9-5.

Agree, strange how some of these girls are so old and still wanting to be in college. 5-6 years and still wanting play with young girls who are actually the appropriate college age.

I would not rule out any senior not returning next season yet. Thoughts that you will regret not coming back for one last ride start to creep in (and Coach Hall wants them all back)
Maglio came back when everyone thought she was gone.
