I like German Shephards. They can make awesome dogs. But then, I am not so sure about certain German Shephard owners. Some I have come across seem more keen to show off their dog as a sort of accessory to their...I don't what to call it, street cred? Excessive macho masculinity (or is it called "toxic masculinity" now? Don't know what the term is)? Compensation for low self-esteem or a small you-know-what between their legs? I have no idea. But their goal of owning this breed purely as a guard or to show how tough they are. Hmmmmm. Same sort of folks I have encountered with certain pit bull owners as well as one or two Doberman and Rottweiler owners. Guess that says more about the owners than the dogs...

It's possible the dog may be hurt. Imagine you climbed up to the counter and got your collar stuck on the grill. Then, you jumped down. More than likely, when the dog landed, his neck or body or paws got jammed by the grill.

Thankfully mom was right there and could see after the Cookie Monster.

Why do I feel guilty cracking up? Poor doggy. Im sure he’s well loved and well cared for. He is outside with his human and enjoying breezes and scents of all kinds of things. I don’t think he knows he is missing the sunset.

I knew they didn’t get like that naturally.
*no dogs were actually given caffeinated beverages in the drawing of this illustration.
