Is Molly Davis not with the team any longer? And wondering when the 2021 roster will be posted?

Agree, Joy should be great this year. She is a great asset and a nice person. Halgron is a senior and very experienced, her sister played well last year, she could be a contender. Nourse girls may be higher, they performed well last season and I saw them playing recently and they are strong.

I don’t know what Joy Dennis did on the court to earn the #1 pair. I really have to question Blanton’s judgement on this one and hope that there is no favoritism being displayed here. Dennis has simply not proven with her court IQ to be placed that high and it’s a real disservice to someone like Graudina who should be paired with the best player that compliments her skill. Why not try Scoles with Graudina and post Dennis with Hargen. Dennis and Hargren should be no higher than #4 definitely behind the Nourse girls.

I meant to write pairing Dennis with Harward and placing them in the #4 position. I would venture to say that even Bakos would be better in the line up than Dennis. No offense to Joy, but she is just not as talented as others among the starting 5. Just my opinion on what I have seen on the court

Completely agree, although Dennis did well last year with Halgen at 4's and Harward did not do well last year. The little sister Halgen did well last season, she may be being overlooked.

Harper Hallgren was a pleasant surprise to play her way into the top 5 pairs last year. She could definitely contend as well this year. However... there is so much depth of quality talent in 20/21 that Harper can’t be considered a favorite to make the top 10 players this year. If she steps up to beat out some of the favorites, then all the better. Competition makes everyone better. Tina likely won’t play in the 21/22 School year because she will have graduated. Likewise, multiple other players will have ended their eligibility, opening up many spots.

Isn’t she a junior this year?

Isn’t she a junior this year? Not sure if you’re referring to Tina Graudina or Harper Hallgren. I’m thinking you are responding to my saying that Tina would leave. Tina will be using her third year of eligibility. She came in with Haley Hallgren, Sammy Slater, and Maja Kaiser, but took last year off. While we can hope for one more year, the info from thelat seems to suggest just this year is more likely. She’ll probably graduate, go full pro, and represent USC in the Olympics along with April Ross. about.usc.edu/history/uscs-olympic-heritage/“USC has produced more Olympians, overall medalists and gold medalists than any other university in the United States.”

About Tina. If she’s a junior, how is she going to graduate in the spring? In her most recent interview with Rob Espero, she said she’s going to finish her education and get her degree because USC is a great school.

Maybe Tina has taken summer and on-line courses during the gap year?

If you haven't already check out the thread w/ the VolleyballMag.com article and Viral Volley Podcast with Tina (I promise I'm not self-promoting). My sense speaking with her on and off cam is that she's sticking around USC to get her degree and she said it-- to win National Championship(s). volleytalk.proboards.com/thread/82077/graudina-beach-champs-viral-volley?page=1&scrollTo=2396744That USC roster is loaded for 2021. Dain has a good problem with his pairs. It's just finding the right chemistry. IF some of the younger ladies wanted to maximize their eligibility (because we know that USC will continue to have winning teams) they would be wise to redshirt this year and hope there aren't any other talented 5th-year transfers coming in-- but that's just my 2 cents-- and God knows I'm wrong more often than I'd like to be.

Good point, Rob your insight is always correct. Don't understand why these players are trying to stay in undergrad so long. If you are good enough, go pro and let the college age kids have their college play. I read somewhere that Sckoles redshirted 3 times somehow, this simply should not be allowed. The girls who have worked to be in college at the right age should have their shot.
