Some T. Boone Pickens trivia I learned today reading his obituary.
You probably know that he has donated more than $500-million dollars to Oklahoma State University (his alma mater) over the years.
But he originally attended Texas A&M. He was receiving a $27 per month basketball scholarship, which the school decided not to renew, so he transferred to OSU.
Ouch.

(I was going to say Pittsburgh and Minnesota, but I think Minnesota's Super Bowl appearances spanned late 1960s to 1970s, and not all in the 1970s.) |
