No fun. I don't wanna spend money on tickets . Dang - $40! But, what's worse is that I will be in the nose-bleed section. Oh well.

But... Hawaii isn't gonna be there... so I won't be seeing the best volleyball players.

I don't think so. At last year's regional semi's, you had to pay $6 for parking if I recall correctly.

What I remember about San Diego was that they closed off one garage on the SDSU campus, and reserved it only for FF ticket holders. They had attendants stationed there, and they only let drivers in who flashed their tickets. I'd actually taken a look earlier (I got there too early to check in) on the day of the semis, and it was a student permit and hourly visitor lot, with electronic ticket dispensers. Perhaps the FF is different than the regionals. The Championship guide directs people to go straight into the parking facility, but makes no mention of how much will be charged.

The Long Beach VB staff will be parking cars; the $20 donation goes to the program. $20? Uh - I might just take my chances and take public transportation. The Metro Blue Line 1st Street station seems to be two blocks from the arena. There are a bunch of stations with parking (I'm thinking Willow), but I'm wondering about how safe they might be, especially at night.

The point is I would be shocked if parking is FREE.

Well - I decided to do the unthinkable and call the LBCC ticket office, which transferred me to their parking dept. I only got an answering machine. Their website however says that regular parking in their lots is $8, and is only open from 6AM-6PM M-F, but will be open for events. It does mention asking about current rates from "your event". I don't know exactly what this means. I tried contacting the LBSU ticket office, but they're not open on weekends. www.longbeachcc.com/guidelines/pg_park.htm
