Any significant club player movements for the upcoming SCVA 2019-2020 season? Not aware of anything in 17s/18s, but in 16s heard there was a large group of solid players that jumped from MB Surf to SCVC. Surf took gold in 15u at JOs - guessing most who left Surf weren't starters, but even their second stringers last year would have probably beat most teams in 15s, so should be a big lift for SCVC.

Son played 15's last year: can confirm those bench players are very, very, solid, and would have formed the core of a top 5 (15s) / 20 (16s) team last year. They rarely played, as MBS ran a tight rotation. With no inside info, I'll bet this is a "going home" situation: a group of players from SCVC's 14s (the year before) moved to MB 15's last year - those were the bench players, and they didn't see much court time in the (many) matches I saw. SCVC's 15's were good last year, but lacked a terminal or "where is he?" player.

I heard news that the setter for 949 17s will not be back for the upcoming season.

Wedbush joined up with SCVC Or to put it another way, SCVC 17s joined up with Wedbush Interesting setter situation there now - with that 17s group from last season you can't really run that 6-2 setter/oppo combo they so effectively ran last year with him and Campbell (before everybody got hurt) As a coach, you love the depth, but gonna be hard to make everybody happy

Julian Seivert, played for balboa bay 16’s last year, moved to scvc 17’s this year. He was probaly the best player on that balboa team and got absolutely snubbed from MVP at BJNC last year. He was a solid piece on the Mira costa team and he was the only reason they got so far. SCVC should be a real threat this year with him on the team.

I expect Clarke to be the OPP on that team. Will be interesting to see which 6 players earn starting spots.

The former Surf 15 player was an L, SCVC's L from last year is still on the team, and one of the SCVC 14's was also an L. 6 players from last years SCVC 15's apparently left, including their one tree, which I also find... curious. Hope they landed elsewhere.

Nah dude, at least 4 came over - online roster's not complete, their 16s team took 15 players (I know their HC) and only 10 are listed on their site right now...

Regardless of the lineup SCVC chooses, they will have no chance against the east coast teams. #eastcoastforlife #eastcoastbestcoast #eastcoasttoast
