[/quote] Well, he's getting up there and I've heard from quite a few on here that he seems to have lost that passion and drive he once had. I don't know anything, just wondering. I wouldn't be surprised, I guess, if he did.

I wouldn't be surprised, I guess, if he did. I'd have to think that the team's performance this evening (and this season), plus what Mick said about the Bruins; that he definitely has a reason to stick around. Although with five seniors leaving the program (including Zartman), it could be a good year to step away if he chooses. Personally, I hope that he doesn't.

Anyone listening to Kim Jagd on the post-match interview? The story she just told about McFarland and her "one more coach, one more" is going to make me cry!

I got no voice left ..... The Huskies played an up and down game tonight. At the end they dug deep and Brie Hagerty woke up.
I am thinking of going to Long Beach for the FF. Any other Washington fans coming? If one of you here is Katy or her husband, IM me! Maybe we can get together down there

It's pretty obvious that Washington is not the same team without Morrison's offense. She had 41 swings on Friday & only 12 on Saturday. I'm guessing her knee couldn't recover in time to be much of a factor against the Bruins. Will the extra days rest (if the Huskies manage to beat Stanford on Thursday- and that's a big if!) be enough for her to recover for the finals on Saturday? I don't think they can win it without her offensive production.

Morrison only played backrow for Hagerty the whole match (except for a brief moment at the end of game 4). We don't know why. Maybe they are saving her knee for the final four.

I don't think they can win it without her offensive production. Then in my mind, the true question is do you take a chance and leave her out on Thursday in order to have her for Saturday? If you don't win Thursday, there is no Saturday! So, do you play her to make sure you get there? Do you hold her out and see how you do against Stanford? Do you insert her only if you have to - provided she plays well coming in cold off the bench? That to me, is a 'bigger' (or more important) decision that Jim will have to ponder on the flight down to Long Beach. Hmmmm, it's 'lonely' at the top!

Will that extra day give her knee a chance to recover??

Yes, an extra day is always good when you're injured. However the question then becomes, will Morrison get enough treatment before the team heads down to Long Beach, that she'll be able to 'bounce back' quicker. If so, then the extra day off really helps Washington!
