Question for the Nebraska fans?? How many who have purchased tickets already will cancel out on the trip? Anyone from Nebraska have a guess on this one? I only heard of about 100 tickets sold through The Match Club but I'm sure others bought theirs separately. I was in the bar with a few fans after the USC match and that question was brought up about who was going. There were ten of us in the group and nine had tickets to go. All of us were stilll planning on going. We Husker fans love good volleyball and this tournament should be outstanding, even without Nebraska in it I did also talk to one parent and he indicated they would probably not go because he thought it would be too painful. Certainly can't fault him for that. I read in one of the stories on the USC match that of the 1800 fans there, about 1000 of them were Husker fans. Actually I question whether there was 1800 there for that match but I would say WELL over half were for Nebraska. USC probaby had 20 and San Diego had about 20 on the first night.

Off the top of my head, UCLA has 5, not 4, seniors: Zartman, Ringel, Murphy, Cullen and McFarland. Yep, I'm wrong again. I missed Cullen but did have her on the site this time at least.

As much as I'd like to see it next year----Florida lost a great chance this year. Next year eventhough talented and adding McCray to the right side they still have a relatively slow setter (ie. Goldhan at Stanford) that is great with accurate passes and only average when having to move. Mary,---recruit some great passers to help your setter out. Florida looses the heart of the team that took them to the Final Four 2 times and insiders here say there is growing discontentment among some players and with the coaching staff. Gator, Florida next season has so many similiarties to this years Stanford team. Both starting OH's with one who can dominate. No positive libero! Add lost both all-american caliber middles and a slow setter. Its funny how they are the same. I hope Florida can surprise everyone like Stanford has.

Just for the record since The list didn't have Hawaii as a top 25 team (what a joke, whomever made that list doesn't know volleyball)...Hawaii returns all of its starters. Sure NU is the favorite, however Hawaii is right up there with USC, FLORIDA, Minn, Was., Stanford..Hawaii will be a legit top 10 team next year..

It appears it's going to be another bash-Hawaii-year again. All of the Wahine first stringers will be back and again they will create havoc and consternation among the fans of all those teams listed in the above.

As stated, my post was the Pablo list which has Hawaii at higher than 25. I only went to the top 25 on the list so they were not included. It was not intended to be a "bash Hawaii" list.

I have no doubt that Nebraska fans with tickets to the Final Four will still go forward ... and probably cheer on USC.
In 2002, after Hawaii took out Nebraska on the Huskers home floor in the regional final, Husker fans still showed up in a Big Red section of the New Orleans facility. A large part of the noise for Hawaii that night came from the Husker section. One group of classy fans ...
