Fener will be fine if: Kelsey breaks out of her offensive slump. Her attack numbers against ECZ 8-3-6-27. Good grief, that is negative efficiency! Karch must be starting to feel a pit in his stomach if he watched that game... and hoping that the setter is the issue, not the hitter.

I only got to watch Fenerbahce’s, Vakifbank and Eczacibasi (basically the top 3 teams in the Turkish league) here are my observations:
- There’s just no comparison between Boskovic and Haak. Haak is an amazing player no doubt with lots of potential and arguably a top 5 Opp in the world but Boskovic is just on another level. I don’t think Vitra will ever release the latter. $$$$$
- Haak reminds me so much of a pre-Rio Sloetjes. I hope she doesn’t end up like Sloetjes though. It is unfortunate that outside of club matches and tournaments, Haak won’t see much competition because the Sweddish National Team is just not good.
- Thompson is certainly not a shoo-in yet for Tokyo. She’s doing okay for her first year of Pro volleyball but knowing that she is already playing for a top turkish team I think she will be fine.
- Lloyd’s sets are a mess 3/10. Is she on a multiple year contract with Eczacibasi? The coach would rather have Boskovic-Natalia-KYK during Turkish league matches (is there a limit?).
- Robinson is struggling on offense but she is still one of USA’s best OHs.

Haak being a younger Sloetjes is a great comparison! I would just add that she has the potential to be better than Lonneke was, even at her prime, but she is yet to prove that she can bring it against the strongest competition. She is magnificent against the weaker/middle-tier teams, pumping statistics across the board against those...but it's still a question mark whether she can ever reach the Big 3 (Zhu-Boskovic-Egonu) level of play. But here's the thing, even if she ever reaches that level, she will never be widely considered by volleyball fans as such, BECAUSE of her lack of strong NT play. In World Championship 2018, there was a beautiful poetry in who ended up on the podium, since all 3 of those played for teams that medalled, effectively heralding the Big 3 era (in which we still live, for now). Haak doesn't have that narrative, and it could prove fatal to her legacy, when all is said and done, regardless of how impressive her club achievements end up being. And yes, there is a limit of 3 foreigners in domestic matches. Those 3 you named has been the preferred line-up of Motta, when he had them all available.

Poor Haak. I guess she will just have to settle for Turkish League championships, CL golds, CWC golds, and a host of MVP's on what should be a very long career since she won't have to play year around. I predict her earnings will be over 1 mil before she hits 25 and she will have a long run at Vakif. We'll get to see her against Bosko and Egonu this year and if Vakif can lure back Zhu it will be a super team. Review the CWC match between Vakif and Imoco to see how quickly and how far she has advanced under Guidetti's tutelage.

There's a rumour though that Egonu will be with Vakif next season.

There's also a rumor that Imoco wants Zhu. If possible it might be both on the same team either for Vakifbank or Imoco.

I doubt she leaves Imoco if they decide to keep the team together for one more season. Social media shows the Posse to be Woloz, Hill, Robin, and now Egonu. She has plenty of time to earn her millions but sometimes the team environment is more magnetic. If they win Oly gold she will be Italian famous and have numerous endorsements to choose from if so desired. Her and her Italian NT teammates playing for Imoco have the rare opportunity to win every gold in every tournament they play in this year.
Imoco could keep their core players and replace Chiaka with one of the top young Italian MB's of which there are many.

MBH struggles on offense in todays Vakif win over Nilufer attack 11-6-4-35 But her passing numbers were superb. 71% positive and 47% excellent. She was the best passer of the match. I'll take it.

It's going to come down to direct duel between Vakif and Vitra in the last match to decide who will end the regular season as #1. But one thing is for certain: Eczacibasi depends on it's best player much more than Vakifbank on its best player, and that bodes well for the defending champion.
